Yes, the car is Alto.

When the headlamp glass was broken, the MGA guys told me that you've to replace the entire casing rather than simply changing the glass only !

Is this true ?

Yes it is. The headlamps are sealed.

How much Chevy Spark LT front bumper cost?
My friend sc***ed my car's front bumper yesterday and needs to be replaced.

My car is Non metallic Blazing red color (body colored bumper)

Have got quotes for injectors, spark plugs and timing belts but need to dig for info. Will post ASAP.

Workshop has quoted Rs.7500 for Manza front windshield if I pay the entire amount or Rs.12000 if I claim insurance with Rs.2000 coming from my pocket.
Obviously, I will be opting for insurance but wanted to check if the quote is OK.

How should that matter to the repairer, whether you pay or the insurer pays? Does anyone know why is there a 50% difference in rates?

@ashw_r: You must report this to the insurance companies. It really hits their profitability (and in turn, the premiums for all of us).

Can you go ahead and name the dealer here?
They are obviously making a fast buck at the expense of the insurance company, and this should be brought to the notice of the higher ups in the management.

Make sure the windshield replacement is done properly, and take delivery of the vehicle and sign only after you had driven it, and ensured there is no wind noise entering the cabin. Happened with my car and i had to go back and ask them to redo the process..

@aarenes: Thanks for sharing the Punto price list, the parts listed are the one which ACI compares every year, Its good to know the VFM Punto also comes with VFM Spares.

Most welcome anshuman. You got t he VFM tag correct. Persoanlly, for my budget and want of equipment, I dont see another car providing the bang for the buck. And the spares price list was also one of the factors (not the main ones) to purchase the VFM car. One scan and I said, I can afford that.

OT - Your initial ownership experience has been a pleasure to read as well. Will be putting up mine soon.
