Thanks for the link, but I couldn't understand how the Polo and Punto spares were at par? For the petrol engine (1.2), there is a difference of 10K between the two (for the total parts basket), that's 20%. Similarly for the diesel, the percentage difference is lower but still close to 17%.

What is interesting to note is that the Indica Vista Petrol spare parts are priced higher than the Punto 1.2.

yeah man the mirror alone is also available and it costs roughly 150 to 200 rs. IIRC

Yesterday my brother's Getz 1.3 landed in a rainwater gutter in the NICE road and had to be taken out by a tow vehicle.

On prelim inspection, we suspect the rear axle/suspension, front bumpers, fuel tank, steering assembly / tie rod, Chassis ,radiator to have borne damages. The vehicle is yet to be examined by the A.S.S as it was towed to their premises today morning.

Would appreciate if anybody here could provide us with a price list / approx cost for the above items listed, so that we can have a rough estimate of the damages and whether to be met through internal resources or to claim from insurance.

Rajesh, considering the amount of damage that you guys seem to have noticed, i would surely recommend using your insurance to pay up. What else are you saving it up for and paying the premiums?
