Answers in Bold. Hyundai is cheap comparatively of course.

Jokes apart. Hyundai clutch assembly costs around 27K which is steep.
I think Hyundai should join the club of Mitsu, Ford and ilk for expensive spares.

Cost from spare parts dealer : Rs. 2500/-
Part number : A988F12029AD
Brand : Magnetarelli

Since the ignition coil is among the most common sore points on the Ikon, this would be useful when procuring it from outside.
Ben, is it the Alternator you are referring to? If so I replaced it from Lathangi. It just went kaput the day I got my pre-owned Ford. Including labour they charged 6700 INR

Yes Navneet I changed my Santros regular ORVM with the internally adjustable ones more than a year back. I picked up the local ones for Rs 600 each when the OE ones were retailing for Rs 1200 each. But looking at their quality I would suggest you to go in for the original ones.

Err... Are you sure. In my last service, MGF Okhla told me that the clutch bearings are making noise and are at the end of their life-span; and will be changed in next service. The stimate - 8.5K and this doesn't include clutch-plate.

Is he taking me for a ride? Or your information is wrong?

Thanks! I did a search for Ritz in the thread but nothing turned up and hence posted.. let me check again!

Today I spoke to MSM Chennai, they tell me it costs 1400 :( . Not sure if this difference is due to location but 300 difference is too high for transportation! I will have to re-check for better price.

A set of 4 Spark Plugs for 213.08 INR Only ?

My car (Also a WagonR Lxi 2006) has run 110000 Kms now and I have got these changed at least 4 times at MASS and have purchased it myself from MGP spares dealer in Bangalore and a set of 4 plugs always cost me 500 INR (125 each). of course, whenever I have purchased Bosch Super plugs, a set of 4 cost me almost 220 - 240 INR.

Can you confirm if the replacement plugs were MGP ?

Also, for the brakefluid, MASS uses a special product which costs way more than the usual brakefluids available from reputed manufacures of oil/fluids and hence I rerfain from falling into their trap and always ensure that I either have the brake fluid up to the mark or carry a can handy whenever the MASS folks work on my brakes!
