5. The Beige color is back. This was in the pre-DSG era Vento, discontinued, and now re-introduced, in a slightly brighter shade.

Yes. I am considering the new beige or the blue.

Surprised if the GC is reduced, is it really? So scrapping bottom on Indian roads will be an issue, at least when the car is moderately or fully loaded?

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

Also the fuel efficiency going up by up to 7.5% (that's a big claim considering the same engine and gearbox). Not sure what that really means.

Is the ARAI mileage rating given after one test, or is it given after testing several cars of the same model? Unless the tests are repeated several times, the numbers may be statistically unreliable.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

and even Michael talks about how we Indians love our chrome!

Can someone please figure out the difference in pricing for the similar models from last year? That should give us an idea on the "chrome" premium charged by Volkswagen.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

Dear Mods, so can we expect a review of the face lifted Vento just like the 2015 Storme's and 2015 XUV's?

I am especially interested in the TSI since VW claims a 7.5% increase in mileage which is up from 16.9kmpl to 18.1kmpl.

Thanks.

The 7% increase in efficiency for petrol and 2% is diesel being said on account of supposedly better aerodynamics not any changes to engine. Things like lower GC and bonnet design etc . It may be difficult to check that in a test drive. Other changes , which are mostly cosmetic are well covered in this thread. I was hoping for a better music system, projectors and maybe even a sunroof . But then VW as always focussed on subtle changes that matter

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

Wow a 70K premium over the pre-facelift model of the 1.2 TSI! Suddenly the value for money factor is diminishing. The D segment sedans suddenly appear closer in the rear view mirror

70k? For the Highline TSI?

What the hell... that will bring to 14 lakhs on road in Bangalore

70K does not look right, the earlier post indicates the Highline TSI at 10.62L. When I purchased in 2013, it was 9.99L and the prices have definitely increased post that. So it is not 70K even with 2013 prices.

I referred to this post for pricing of 2014 models:

http://www.team-bhp.com/news/volkswa...model=MjI1Ng==

Mumbai pricing of 1.2 TSI Higline was 9.92 and currently it is 10.62.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

Thanks for clarifying. So with a similar increase in price in Bangalore, the total on road price will touch 14 lacs. Makes me wonder with the added upgrades to the HU and extended warranty how much would it dent the wallet! :(
