It seems deliveries of the Octavia in Mumbai are getting delayed. My 1.8 L&K was due for delivery by Sep end. Now they are saying it will be delivered before Diwali!

The website appears to have been updated for the prices post cess increase. Strangely though, they still dont mention L&K on the price list. It shows Style Plus for the petrol at INR 21.63 lac in Gurgaon. The RS is now at INR 25.48 lac instead of 24.62 lac earlier.

They are discontinuing Style Plus and launching the L&K. Deliveries have started but they are really slow. Mumbai dealers are saying the next lot is due by Diwali (hopefully mine among them).

List of extra features:

1. 9 speaker Canton speaker system instead of normal 8 speaker system (it sounds brilliant!!) The additional one is a subwoofer in the boot.
2. L&K badging
3. L&K branded SS scuff plates in front and back door sills.

Only the Canton system can be called an upgrade but not sure it is worth the 40k premium. Guess there is no choice though, with the Style Plus being discontinued.

I maybe wrong but usually Canton is 9.1 meaning 8 normal speakers plus a new center speaker (in the centre of the dashboard) plus a boot mounted sub.

I got my car delivered already on 13th Sept. Ambition 1.4 TSI white from Vinayak Cars, Palace road, Bangalore. The vehicle is July 2017 Manufactured based on the VIN.

Differences I could see in Ambition from Style right away:
1. Head lamps and DRL. The headlamp has blackened interior so it does give a look front from the front even though it doesnt have BiXenon lamps. But my car does have DRL which is different from the horizontal line that you see in Style.

2. Steering controls are not there. I would miss this for sure.

3. Fabric seat cover - Will get covering done next week.

But apart from this, its an awesome car and what an engine. I dint expect 1.4 TSI to be this good. And the changes done on the bonnet sheet metal makes this car look very much like a BMW for sure. But photos don't do justice to the actual view of the car.

The Infotainment system is a 6.5 inch screen, which is touch screen and SAME intuitivity level as of style variant. So u r frankly lose anything.

The tail lamp C design is different from what I saw all these days on internet. So I am confused if Ambition alone comes with single thing line C design of led.

Here you go. Its white lite LEDs - mostly 3 to 4 LEDs set up vertically on the side.

Bangalore OTR is 19.48 + Drive Assure (17.9k).

Thanks! Reminds me of the facelifted old Superb. Classy looking. The OTR also is highly palatable for such a loaded well engineered vehicle.

The price in Mumbai has gone up by about 70k for my L&K. Just was informed by the dealer today after the GST. Comes to a lil more than 26 lacs OTR now Mumbai.

Hi, which dealer is this? And does it include the Skoda nil dep insurance, maintenance pack and regn charges?

Im not really sure about the charges etc, but I'm definately not taking the 40k maintenance package cause I know my car will run less than 300 to 400 kms a month so doesn't make sense for me.
Will update when I get the new invoice.

Congrats. Are you going for any paint protection approach like Ceramic coating or 3M PPF ? Seems white colour is not great for PPF treatment, especially if done partially ?

Thought it would be nice for all to see how our beloved Skoda's are built from scratch bit-by-bit so lovingly, carefully and wonderfully by the Assembly Line guys. That too in a compact short video. Have a look!

This video will also help to understand how each of the parts are fitted onto the car, maybe helpful for DIY guys too. Mind you it will take much more time to do the same things on an already built up car. These folks are building it up in proper planned sequence so it's kinda easier than otherwise replacing stuff.

Got the official price list from JMD. Attaching the same here for the benefit of the forum. Price seems to have gone up by around 80k, as expected.
