I don't see sunroof either. This could most probably be Asta variant. One good thing is they have provided rear wiper.

Even this variant is equipped diamond cut alloy wheels instead of those hideous looking stylish steel wheels/single tone alloys.

On looking at the blue international i20, the reversing camera is positioned under the light bar between the rear lights, but the red Asta i20 seems to either missed out on it, or maybe it is placed elsewhere (?). I really hope the chrome strip is just an optional accessory.

It is placed between the lights for the number plate frame if we look closely.

Third-gen Hyundai i20 spotted testing in Chennai. Edit: Launched at 6.79 lakhs-front.jpg

To me the front facia looks like Audi A3. It is modern, fludic and sharp.

Third-gen Hyundai i20 spotted testing in Chennai. Edit: Launched at 6.79 lakhs-rear.jpg

The rear has a confusing design and looks almost similar to the Brio.

This honestly is the first good looking Hyundai car in a very long time.

I'm not sure if other folks have a similar opinion on this, but, the rear seems to be aggressively flattened out to cater to the sub-4m regulations. The outgoing i20 has a much more pleasing and stylish rear profile.

Especially after the Venue and Creta design debacle, this design looks absolutely easy to digest. But, it's a bummer that our expectations from a company that was once known for its elegantly designed vehicles have stooped to a new low.

Man this looks so desirable!

If one was in the market for an A class and could not afford it, this is the car that would probably satisfy that person!

Couple this with the 1.5 diesel and better dynamics - the most mature hatch in India has arrived!

Front grew on me in sometime, but what is with the rear? Going to have polarised opinions in looks department for sure - no more neutral and pleasant design! Hope variants have logical spread of features.

The front exterior looks okay to me, having got used to the way the new gen verna looks. But in the interior, the AC control panel looks like a duck's beak to me. Can't unsee it somehow.

I really like how the Grand i10 Nios looks. This, not so much. The rear is too confused and the front isn't as striking as it used to be. It's not as polarising as the new Creta's design, but I still don't see everyone being happy with this design.

For me, this looks ugly when we compare it with the international car. I was spoiled by the international i20. Purely subjective.

I feel like the projectors are a size bigger while the chrome strip on the rear is bringing back the Aura element. Atleast they should have given a blacked out effect or smoke effect on the front. Lets hope for good alloys.

Atleast, the top spec should look like the international model with all LED lamps.

I don't know if it's the pics but the dashboard seems to be angled towards the driver.

So with a setup like this the driver will be able to adjust HVAC controls a lot easier compared to having it flush against the dashboard.

I guess this is more usefull for tall drivers who don't have to bend down and take their eyes of the road. The right buttons will be easier to press and the small screen with the Temp etc will be easier to peek at.

Well, I for one love the way the car looks ! My initial impression of both the exterior and interior are very very positive. With the 10'' touch screen and digital MID and sunroof, the 1.0 Turbo DCT would be one sweet package. I just hope the Turbo DCT variant comes with an option of dual tone roof. That would make the steel grey a looking hatch.
