It may be the first car they pay for, but that vehicle can still be an upgrade from the entry-level car their family owned before the kid of the family got a well-paying job and the family could afford to 'upgrade'.

Just saw the 3rd gen i20 (in cameo) near Escorts (Tractors) Corporate office. I could not manage a pic as I was driving.

However, my observations are as under:
1. It appears marginally wider than current gen.
2. Definitely lower than Baleno, which means it will be lesser spacious as ever.
3. The head & tail lights didn't had LEDs (halogens I guess). But had 16" alloys so was not the top end or turbocharged petrol I bet. The tyre & alloy optimal size were a visual treat in sea of cars with smaller tyres.
4. IMO the joined tail lights (reflector strip running left to right) could be restricted to few models or not there in Indian version. I could be wrong here, but the thick cameo didn't let any clues.

Hyundai had Technical Center in Faridabad so guess the engineer was driving to office for attendance before resuming daily running & data collection.

Not a big fan of these alloy wheels. Looking at all the previous leaked photos there are totally about 3 different alloy wheel designs.This one here is the worst looking for me.

The interior image leak show here doesn't show much,but is closely matching with the one they unveiled outside India.

These look like the wheel covers present on the current generations magna models so might not be alloys.

I'm loving the bold & edgy design. This looks like the hatchback version of the Verna - and that is a very good start. I hope common sense prevails and Hyundai don't overprice it.

Some news about the launch of the 2020 i20 in India. Scheduled for October '20. The earlier speculation were somewhere around August '20; but thanks to the COVID crises.
On a side note, credit to be given to KIA on sticking to the original launch timelines of the SONET inspite of the setback! This pretty much shows the market interest and the aggressiveness of the brand. Having said all of that, I just hope that they don't launch the car with niggles in order to meet the timelines. Fingers crossed!

You can see the convoy has a baleno and a Polo GT TSI. If they have a GT TSI for benchmarking then for sure we will get the 1.0L DCT variant at launch.
