Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Somehow Gravitas is looking lost in front of the updated Harrier BS6, unless of course someone wants a Harrier and can't compromise on the third row for kids. This boring colour choice of the Gravitas isn't helping either, compared the red Harrier with dual-tone and Panoramic sunroof. |

| ![]() I agree. Compared to new Harrier the Gravitas looks bland and dull. |

| ![]() Gravitas doesn't do justice to the facelifted Harrier. Gravitas seems more like a 6 seater than anything else and plonking in few extra big ones for the Gravitas over other conventional 5 seaters SUV's (Harrier ![]() |

| ![]() To me as well Gravitas looks bland, was expecting a lot from it. Heard Renuka from Autocar mention production version will come with sunroof, not sure how big though. Do middle seats tumble forward? Also the boot space is a big miss for a 3 row crossover. Cant fit any luggage in there. Will be interesting to see how Mahindra packages XUV 500, else wait till next iteration of Gravitas like Harrier !!! |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Gravitas should never have been designed in the first place. You want a spacious 5 seater? Harrier is there You want a 6/7 seater? Hexa is there I am sure Gravitas won't even see triple digit monthly sales if launched. Looks don't help much either. It looks like a boring, middle aged version of the young and vibrant harrier. |

| ![]() I must say in its current form the Gravitas does not appeal much. In the coming days when Hyundai launches its updated larger 7 seater Creta and Mahindra launches the all new Scorpio and XUV 500 which might not be too far away not sure how this would sell. IMHO the Gravitas needs a :- - better colour scheme(Black plastic instead of the Gray) - AWD/4WD - a sunroof(dual pane like the discovery) The market for a not so pricey 5+2 seater seems to be where the action is shifting to and given that there are many people(at least from my vantage point) who are looking for a good 7 seater SUV (no not an MUV like the Innova) but dont want to pay the premium that an Endeavour or T Fort requires this could propel the Tata brand. However given the showcased offering I am not convinced they would be able to attract this clientele. The Harrier's pricing might work in isolation but it makes the Gravitas' work much harder. |

| ![]() The Gravitas looks like a half hearted attempt from Tata, atleast from a marketing side at the moment. Was just watching the autocar review on youtube, the space in the last row is too less. The boot space with the last row up as well. If you fold the last row seats, its good enough only for 4 people. I am sure that it might suit the needs and tastes of a few people, but I wont go anywhere near this for sure. |

| ![]() They are copying ( or drawing inspiration from ) land rover even for ads. This one has a striking similarity to the launch advertisement of Landrover Discovery sport. The Discovery sport ad was on a whole different level, but couldn't help notice the similarity of approaches. Last edited by padmrajravi : 5th February 2020 at 22:15. |

| ![]() Another walk around video In my view, it delivers to the expectations but loses on Identity. As with the upgrades, there isn't too much of differentiation between Harrier and Gravitas. Because of the limited 3rd row space, Gravitas will have few takers. For those who are still interested, it would make sense to wait for the discounts to kick in (festival season) and strike a deal at a price point lower than the Harrier. |

| ![]() Am afraid the new XUV500 will eat this up easily. A case of Datsun go and go+ comes to mind. On the other hand, if cars like XL6, BRV, etc manage to pull decent numbers, Gravitas may have a chance as well. Could happen either way, only time will tell. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Even the TVC is as bland as the product, a desi family in foreign lands doing regular chores, so innovative. Harrier has killed the Gravitas as posted above, this is just a waste of time and resources. |
