Killer looks and a fantastic colour.
I am IMPRESSED.

And if priced right, this is going to give the innova a very tough fight.

Hoping the pricing to be right and if yes, Tata already has a customer in me.

^^They should have used better looking number plates, HRSPs would have looked great.

Re: The Tata Gravitas (H7X) SUV. EDIT: Branded as the Safari!

Rear - ok
Side profile - not bad
Front - It looks pretty much like the Harrier. They could have redesigned front bumper, hood, and add a small hood scoop to differentiate.

Comparing the front 3/4 and profile, just shows what a sexy design Harrier is!

Absolutely stunning vehicle from our own manufacturer!! Kudos to Tata Motors
A perfectly proportional SUV. Hoping to get an AWD soon.

Re: The Tata Gravitas (H7X) SUV. EDIT: Branded as the Safari!

Just 1 day after a boring launch video of the Altroz - a pretty exciting teaser for the Safari! Are we seeing the Safari plate bring the Tata media mojo back? Something woke up? Really wish the TVCs for this one are as good as they were for the Safari while I was a kid!

Any doubts about panoramic glass on top are pretty much put to rest now. The 00:26 frame in the quick video already shows the greenhouse area on top. So thats that. Certainly a mighty car on the street.

Has the looks, mostly will have most of the gizmos. Space as always in a Tata car is beyond doubt. Street cred of a Safari - unmatched. Now price it well and they might have pulled a bunny out the hat! Fingers crossed. A very tiny price band where to fit it, considering the Harrier has already pushed the envelope of Tata's pricing into aspirational segments rather than pure bang-for-buck category.

Re: The Tata Gravitas (H7X) SUV. EDIT: Branded as the Safari!

As strange it may sound and I can't believe myself saying this but I would not have given too much thought to a newly launched extended body Harrier I.e. Gravitas but with this car being named "Safari" has added it appeal and I aspire to own it now!

The words "Tata Safari - Reclaim your Life" just remind of the brilliant ad campaigns that Tata used to run ensuring that their fish tailing niggly and buggy white elephant still remained desirable.

And yes, the car looks absolutely handsome!

Another big plus is the 2 year experience with the Harrier/Omegarc platform means the Safari will be a V2 variant from start, absent of the traditional niggles that plague Tata launches. That is a massive plus!

It has all the makings of a success, pray they get this right from day 1.

Re: The Tata Gravitas (H7X) SUV. EDIT: Branded as the Safari!

Is it only me or others also feel the new Safari looks better than the Harrier? I love how they have made it look from C pillar onwards. Very well implemented.

Only chink in the design seems to be the taping window line of the rear window which just looks a bit odd.

Hoping they get an AWD version in which may force Jeep to think rationally

Re: The Tata Gravitas (H7X) SUV. EDIT: Branded as the Safari!

I did not like that odd looking grey strip at the beginning of the D-pillar. Looks like a hairband for a car. Its almost as if they could'nt decide how the rear end looks and just pasted one of another car from D-pillar onwards.Even if they omit that grey band it will look a bit better.

Should have been done to improve the headroom and glass-area for the third-row.

So, it is clear that Safari with panoramic sunroof won't have a stepped roof. The stepped roof illusion is provided by roofrails.

It would be interesting to observe roof of non sunroof variant, would that be stepped one?
