Thanks, that info helps. I was just wondering for an early morning flight to take my car and park at the airport for next 2-3 days.

Not very sure of the commitment of the cabs at such early hour (around 5AM). But have to find some reliable cabs who would indeed turn up at such early hours.

Long term parking at BIAL is pretty good, had left my car for 4 days. Not a single sign of any sort of vandalism!

For the amount they are charging for long term parking or for that matter regular parking, I wonder why they do not have covered parking. Even in BIAL, all the parkings are open parking, they could have atleast put those plastic shades if not a proper covered parking.

Do remember that those plastic shades are an acceptable setup for home, but a veritable maintenance nightmare for an airport given their standards.

ALL comes down to TANSTAAFL!

IMHO the worst is Chennai airport - no facilities, totally haphazard parking, no administration but still 700/day!! I dont recall seeing many CCTV cameras there unlike the delhi T3 car park which is a really secure facility.

Hi Amit - At Chennai, do try Meru or Fast Track. They are almost guaranteed for airport drop. They are pretty reliable. Just leave 45 mins to an hour earlier and you should be good.

There is a high chance of damage to your car, that is why i dont recommend long term parking at chennai airport.

Hi, would you advise parking at Chennai airport for just a day? For an early morning out flight and late evening back, its a matter of around 15 hrs parking at the airport.

Convenience of own car is matchless.

Hmm - well, if you prefer your own car and dont mind paying the insane parking charges, please park in the general parking lot. I personally would prefer a chauffer driven taxi, but if you prefer your own car, please park in the general parking.

I just did some calculations, 700 bucks parking charge and cab fare from Thiruvanmiyur (to and fro), comes to the same.

So cab makes sense.

As far as I know, its 300 for first day and 200 subsequent. I have used it many times in last 3-4 years. For short duration personal trips, I find it convenient.

I parked it last month, and it was Rs. 300 for the first day, and 200 for next days. I paid Rs. 700 for a 3 day parking.

I parked my car there once when i went to Singapore for 5 days.I remember paying 1000rs, So 200rs per day. They dont have any special rates for long term parking i guess. Once you inform them about Long term parking, They will guide you to parking spaces near by the ticket collectors cabin or under some trees. The problem is your car windsheild will be full of bird shit, When you are back.
