| ![]() High altitude testing points to major changes in the engine. It remains to be seen if those are only related to bs6 rules or if there are some real enhancements in performace. But I do agree that the Tiago needs a more gutsy engine. At least a mild turbo to bring the performance on par with the competition. |

The Tiago is perfectly alright to drive in city traffic and on short highway runs . I know since I have one in MY parking. This round the clock TATA bashing has got to stop somewhere. FYI - My Tiago shares the parking with a 320i ( Tuned and decatted) and a Tuned 170+bhp Suzuki Grand Vitara , and certainly not with cars that are slow by any stretch of imagination. | ![]() Tiago Petrol has adequate power for both city and highway driving, has good straight line stability and handling where it lacks is in engine refinement and nvh. It has improved since the early days but Tata could raise the game by introducing the counterbalancer seen in the Tigor in to the Tiago as well. Outright performance is sufficient but where Suzuki engines (even the three cylinder ones) score is in refinement and nvh. |

| ![]() i have both the tigor and tiago ( automatic ). Ironically the tiago feels significantly more refined and silky smooth compared to the tigor. The tigor engine is rougher and the gearbox whine at highway speeds is very much pronunced |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Oh wow, those are quite clear snaps. Thanks. They have really taken the Altroz face to their heart haven't they? It looks good no doubt. But - is this sharp chiseled look upfront matching well with the still curvy rear? The current Tiago is a beautiful proportionate car. I would even call it "cute". It looks good end to end & hardly anyone doesn't like it visually. This face-lift may be a polarizing change I suspect. |

| ![]() Tiago is already one of the good looking cars in that segment. One are of improvement is NVH levels. Last when i drove one, vibration levels were high for my liking. There is a reason why Maruti Suzuki sells well, refined powertrains. With BS-VI, refinement levels would go up i presume. With this, if probably TATA can add a balancer shaft to Tiago's engine - it'd make a compelling case for itself. |

I like these 'digital' bars in my Nano, doing the job of showing fuel and temperature. Obviously they wouldn't fluctuate as much as the tacho, so aren't as distracting. | |

| ![]() The Tata Thank/Tigor will get a revised front-end with the facelift. While it won't be a completely IMPACT Design 2.0 model until in the next generation, it will attempt to get a bit sharper with the mid-cycle refresh in order to embed some of the new design language's aspects. | ![]() So, the new Tigor and Tiago might be getting fascia similar to Altroz which definitely looks good. With the 1.05 L diesel getting discontinued post BS6, is there a possibility Tata might plonk the Altroz Diesel engine under Tigor's hood? Will definitely improve Tigor's appeal. That engine and in the Egyptian blue shade, Tigor might definitely end up as the stylish and desirable sedan which Hrithik would have advertised for! |
