German all the way. Or European, to be more inclusive. When I retire, my daily ride will be a 1973-1983 Mercedes SL560 Roadster. That's the plan. But for that one needs to do a few things (not necessarily in the same order):

1. Find a good SL roadster
2. Get rich
3. Buy home in Goa

I could hope to get some help on #1 (with V-16 around) and #3 as my wife is from Goa, but the #2 is where, like most people, I am also clueless. Hence the signature :-)

Heart says Italian, Fiat, but limited by choices, so went for a Jap.

I would always prefer the GERMANS, over the JAPANESE, because of the fact that, they are innovators unlike the Japanese who happen to be copy masters but really do admit that they do it the best.

I love American cars, mostly their muscle cars and some of their 4x4s. My all time fave is the Corvette, and in 4x4s it has to be the HUMMER H1, the size and capabilities of that beast is beyond compare...

Some more on the list are the Dodge Charger (old & new), Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Dodge Viper, Dodge Ram and Jeep Wrangler

I will not put down the other makes down, you got to respect the Germans for their luxury and technology and the Japanese for their economical use of technology...

The Brits and Italians seem to be missing from this list though.

If I follow the heart then its American - a Dodge Charger or a Ford Mustang (my most fav cars)

Italian - Ferrairs / Lambos

then German - Beemers / Mercs / Por

But with 100% brain, what I can afford and most practical here in India - they are Japs, driving one

German, for pure driving pleasure and ergonomics.
Bulls to the slightly more expensive spares, they are heavy duty anyway.

I have voted for Japanese. I feel that driving around by myself in India i am looking for a car with

- Reasonable performance
- Good reliability under not so good conditions
- Good FE
- Economical spares

If i am in developed countries my vote would be for Germans.

Simple - My Fiats anyday without any doubt. I drive a Scorpio everyday but always look forward to driving my Fiats. I really wish Fiat India would do better so that I could buy their cars soon.

Best regards,
