My Scorpio Vlx gives 11.5, I drive on part Highway / part City on a daily basis.

I do the calculations from 2nd low fuel warning to next 2nd low fuel warning after refill.

Hi, My Maruti Esteem carb, gives not less than 12kmpl in town while atleast 14kmpl for highway, again without aircon. As for long distance car for my parents, Chevrolet Optra, its a luxury car, so i won't care the mileage unless it drops below 9-10kmpl in aircon regardless of town or highway. That's my 2cents!!

FE figures for Palio SDE

I am getting 20 to 22 kmpl with about 60% highway running. I reset trip meter at every warning of low fuel and FE calculation is made on that basis. I use normal diesel and the only time I had filled up HP Turbojet I got less than average FE.

Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi: 13-14 KMPL in City and 17-18 KMPL on Highways

Skoda Octavia vRS: 09-10 KMPL in City and 12.5 KMPL on Highways

I have taken vRS for only one long drive on the route Hyderabad-Pune-Mumbai-Mahabaleswar-Pune-Hyderabad and she gave an overall FE of 12.5 KMPL

I think the city figures for both are exaggerated by about 2 kms/ltr for both the cars

Simple question, can over inflating the tyres induce any odo error? I think if you overinflate the tyres, you increase the circumference of the tyres, hence you travel more distance with less number of rotations ( and hence some odo error). Not sure if that can lead to an error in full to empty way of calculating FE.
