Here is an update on Santro AT.
City - 10 KMPL with AC on - 11.5KMPL without AC- ( daily commute in Mumbai city 15 Kms & Highway -45 kms).
Mumbai -Pune expressway - with AC 13 kmpl & without AC 14 kmpl - full throttle always. I was not expecting beyond 11 KMPL. Continuously doing 140kmph- and on downhill - I saw speedo crossing line at 160kmph- I couldnt believe it.

It seems you missed it. I know its a daily commute on highway. I was talking about commuting -45 [ Read: MINUS FORTY FIVE ] kms.

M800 93 = 16Km/lts (yes 16 years old carb model) . Mainly south delhi - DND noida - Sec16. Last week calculated milegae through tank full to tank full method. The car ran 133Km in 8.3Lts of petrol

Santro 03 (1.1L but old body) = 15KM/lts, pure city driving with AC on 70% of time

platina 06 = 77Km/lts (south delhi - GGN(NH8) @ controlled speed of 50-60km/hr)

Amazing because in City driving the ful tank lasts just approx 360Kms.

Am very pleasantly surprised as this roughly translates to

343 kms/ 23 L (taking a conservative view) = 14.91 KM/L

The best I have ever got previously was approx 12-13KM/L

Yes I agree with you shahnawaz. I too once drove from Chennai to Tiruvannamalai in my S10 (I've since sold it). I got 300 km on 1/2 tank with 100% AC & speed never exceeding 100 km/hr. I'm sure I would have got almost the same figures as you or maybe even better. The S10 really sips slowly on the highway if speeds are kept around 80 - 100 km/hr. As expected, the mileage drops drastically once you hit 120 or 140 km/hr
