My 3 year alto gives me a consistent 18-20kmpl with 100% A/C usage in the city. On the highway I have measured a 22.5kmpl with A/C. All measurements are tankful to tankful.

All this with proper ripping/fast driving/slow 1st gear crawls etc.

hi..

My Versa used to give me ~9-9.5 kmpl when i used to drive to office daily (40 kms daily in Mumbai traffic). Since the last two months, i stopped using it for daily home to office and back travel - hence the usage is mainly very short distances. the mileage dropped to ~7 kmpl. :(

Looking forward to a out of town drive early next month.

cheers

This is very similar to what I get:

My car: Honda City (NHC) Gxi August 2004

In regular driving (80% city, 20% highway and with 50% A/C ON), I get 13 to 15 kmpl.

On highway (plains), at speeds between 80 and 120 kmph, I get 15 to 18 kmpl.

On highway (plains), at speeds between 130 to 170 kmph, I get ~12kmpl.

On twisty and hilly roads (the ghats and konkan region), I get ~14kmpl (speeds are automatically limited to 80kmpl due to sharp turns and steep slopes, and my left hand constantly switching between 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears...with an occassional dash in the 5th)...

Both mileages are in city, with A/c, bumper to bumper stop-and-go traffic

Accent Viva CRDi - Used to get 12 to 13 kmpl consistently (Now my car has gone beserk)

Honda CRV 2.0 - Getting 7.5 to 8.0 kmpl
