| ![]() Tata Tigor petrol AMT : Reading method MID City traffic : 12 to 13 on a bad day. Highway : 17 to 18 on sprinted driving. Empty highways : 18 to 20. Numbers might look good, but real figures are a good 2kmpl lower, which is still respectable for it size and weight. |

| ![]() 2018 VW Polo GT TSI - 14700 km on ODO, 16 months old. As per MID: City: 9 kmpl (drive 70% in traffic) Highway: seen up to 17 kmpl Expressway: 21 kmpl (on cruise control) Expressway: 12-13 kmpl (flat out sprint) As Per tank to tank: Overall: 13 kmpl (40% city, 60% highway) My Driving Style: Calm with occasional foot heavy overtakes. Note: I've noticed the efficiency does drop by 1 or 2 kmpl when the car is fully loaded (5 passengers + luggage). Guess that's with most small TSI's. Overall: A perfect combination of being fun to drive as well as efficient when you need it to be. ![]() Last edited by Starfire : 11th October 2019 at 10:24. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() 2015 Corolla Altis 1.8 GL Manual (Bought Pre owned at 15K, now at 19000 kms) As per MID: City weekend drives - 12-13kmpl Highway drives(sometimes above 120+) - 13-14kmpl Highway sedate(80-100kmph) - 16-17kmpl Using tankful method, measured value are around 0.5kmpl less than MID AltoK10 2018 AMT (driven around 14000kms) My weekday car for chocked Bangalore traffic There is no MID, so always tankful method only ![]() FE varies between 14.5 to 15.5 kmpl which is pretty decent because the car crawls in 1st gear for almost 50% of the time and never gone on long weekend drives. |

| ![]() Cross posting my post from official review page for TATA Nexon Current ODO: 7458 Loss of Tyre pressure: 1PSI each wheel over 25 days. I drove very little in the past month. Total fuel (Diesel) consumed: 29.96L. Brand: Shell. Cost: Rs.2092.71. Rate: Rs.68.95/L FE as per MID: 18.4KMPL FE as per T2T: 15.22 KMPL (Same bunk, same dispenser, similar time morning 8:15) Complete city driving. Average speed varied between 11KMPH to 18KMPH AC use full time with ACC set at 24 degree. Today hit low fuel warning first time since I got the car. At this point the tank took in 30L so on low fuel there is about 14L of fuel still left. |

| ![]() My Polo GT TSI gives around 10-12 kmpl during city conditions, and around 15-17 kmpl on highway drives. Honda City ZX (CVT) gives 9-11 kmpl during city driving, and around 14-15 kmpl on highways. Its usually loaded with 4 adults and bags on typical highway trips, so that's par for the course I guess. |

Infractions: 0/1 (5) | ![]() I had a family function in Chandigarh on 2nd & planned the trip in a way that it ended up being a day trip only. I started at 5 AM & was back home at 9 PM). My car (Aspire 1.5L Diesel; 77k run) already had sufficient fuel from previous tank top up so ended up refuelling another 26 liters (approx) diesel at Narela border (Delhi). This I ended up filling 63 liters fuel in two refills. The distance travelled in two tank top ups was 1470 Kms & that included 540 Kms of highway travel & balance 930 Kms was intra city drives. My estimates of fuel efficiency are as under: Highway Travel - 29-30 kmpl (approx) Intracity Travel - 21 kmpl (approx) (My onboard display shows cumulative mileage at 20.9 kmpl). My AC usage is 25% these days as day time driving still require sufficient cooling to be bearable. There were 4 adults & 2 kids (under 10 in the car) & minimal luggage. Add to this, I had upgraded tyres to Continental CC5 (185/65/R14) at 76k Kms. |

| ![]() Ford EcoSport Titanium TDCi Driven with AC ON always. Car is kept at idle for an average of 1 minute during every start/stop cycle. I do not turn the car OFF at signals/traffic jams since I want the AC to be running. The mileage is very sensitive to throttle input since it is a heavy car. Here are the mileage figures I get with tank-full to tank-full method : City: 13-14 KMPL Highway: 16-17 KMPL City+Highway: 14-15 KMPL MID readings are usually 1KMPL more than the actual readings. P.S. I drive enthusiastically most of the time ![]() |
