The point is the difference even when using that (As is my experience in other cars) is not that huge, we are talking more than 30% here!

Edit: Even then like i said its not true 100% city conditions in my case, it would be lower in that scenario, having said all that its all in line with my expectations and with engine performance on offer, im more than happy, but the difference here is large enough here to ask the OP as to how he manages that.
Hi Rocketscience

I calculated the FE based on tank full to tank full also this time. In round trip I took from Mumabi to Aurangabad, I got a FE of 17.2 in MID, probably because I was pushed my car to RPM's between 3500~4000 when ever I had an opportunity. The tank full to tank full yielded an FE of 16.93.

City 10-11kmpl

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I have the Fuelly app on my iPhone and have tracked 45000Kms on my car and 15000 on my Royal Enfield.
My car is giving me 13.5Km/L in the city and my RE is giving me 27.5KM/L in the city.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My 2016 Tata Tiago XZ D is running mostly on highways, ~35000kms till now. FE is around 22 to 23 km/l

My 2008 Hero Honda passion plus is doing the city commute, ~45000kms till now. FE is around 59 to 60 km/l

The app I'm using is FuelLog,
All the readings are not tankful to tankful.

Approx 980 kilometers run on 7500 rupees worth of fuel. (Noted from when the low fuel light glowed). A Fuel Efficiency of 9.15 kmpl.

Half the distance through highways at speeds lesser than 100 and the other half working the first four gears for short ~10km runs. I guess the highway runs have given upwards of 11 kmpl.

Note - The engine has been tweaked for more power.
Off topic- but can you please share how you have tweaked the 2.8L Pajero for more power? There has been a lot of discussion about the same.

There has to be work done on the:
  • Pump
  • injectors
  • Turbo
  • Manifold
  • The Vacuum adjustments
  • EGR
Around 20% more output. Please do PM me for more details, since I'm not sure if commercial aspects can be shared here. And relaxingly good driveability.

Sorry if I missed it, but where?

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Vehicle: Hyundai Santro Xing
Year: 2004
Mileage: 94300 kms
Usage conditions: 100% city driving with AC on
Fuel efficiency: 9-9.5kmpl

Vehicle: Honda CB Shine 125
Year: 2015
Mileage: 9050 kms
Usage conditions: 100% in city
Fuel efficiency: 30kmpl

No complaints whatsoever. Although my bike's figures might seem low, but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the bike itself. Decided to ride it efficiently one month and it returned 50kmpl! My normal riding style is hard, with the throttle twisted to max at every possible opportunity and revving hard in every gear. Dad is a little annoyed at the efficiency figures, but the pinch isn't so hard since my monthly riding has gone down to ~150kms now.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

The Getz prime 1.3 litres gives me 9-10 kmpl in the 12th year, earlier years at one point it used to yield 10.5 in summer and 12 kmpl in winter because of lower blower speed and temperature in AC. All are city figures and not much difference in highways in my observation. Driven with a light foot at the optimal speed marker of 50 kmph at 5th gear.

On the other hand, the i10 1.1 irde2 gives around 12 kmpl in the city and on highways around 14-16 kmpl on few occassions. Once again with AC on. On highways max speed of 80 kmph with a light foot

IIRC, the 2013 MY of Honda City never had a Diesel, so it must be the L15A i-Vtec Petrol motor.

18+ kmpl in city traffic for a petrol sedan? Even current gen city, with lighter body, can't match it.
