Nope! the white is not metallic. Its the same as on the upper models of Innova i.e. taxi white.

I have booked one in same color.

All the colors are same as on the Innova.

Wow things seem to be happening quickly in the Toyota camp. Got an SMS from Toyota on the bookings being accepted for the New SUV(Name withheld) and the renewed Camry. I know a couple of people who have already booked the car without looking at it.

I just hope there are still sufficient stock left for some lazy beings like me who want to check it out before a 20L plunge...

I have also received 2 SMS from Toyota yesterday.
One was to announce the launch of Fortuner on 24.8.09.
The second was to announce the `new' Camry.

The 1 lakh is refundable incase you do not like the car. I have paid for a black but if i do not like the interiors of the car i shall cancel it.

If I get a chance for passes for the launch, will definitely ask Toyota "What took you so long ?"

Bangloreens seem to be having all the fun. Why don't you guys catch hold on the drivers of these cars and convince them for a test drive to be reported on T-BHP

Well if the launch is so close in the future, why the heck are they still testing? Even if there are flaws, isn't it too late? And if its just to get some publicity, they're really being silly. I remember the Xylo pre launch teaser ads which were way more effective than running around two disguised versions.

It could be for other reasons like going to the transport authority for getting certain approvals or going to different dealerships to see if they have proper height and width for getting this vehicle in the showrooms.. )

It is never too late to find flaws. For any product, companies would rather find the defect themselves than let customers find it so I don't think there is anything wrong with them testing this till the last minute.
