I was confused too, I just did a quick check in my dressing mirror and the cars appearing in the RVM are exactly like what you see when you turn behind. The one in the pic is RHD! Proved!
Guys, guys! A quick look at the LHD Safari should have dispelled your doubts

I, too, booked a Toyota Fortuner with Uttam Toyota, Noida. The booking amount paid was Rs. 1 lac. The sales rep at Galaxy Toyota, Moti Nagar, said that couldn't take any Fortuner booking as they were overbooked. !

Also heard, not sure if its true that the first 200 Fortuner will be CBU Japanese imports.

Congrats on booking the car in advance.

It cant be CBU as then it would cost around 40L. And toyota would not sell it at a loss (of 20L)

Cheers. Personally, I would prefer to see a Superb over Fortuner. Lets see how this works out.

Got call from Toyota. August 24 is the launch date, coming only in Manual 3.0L diesel. Price is expected to be less than 20 L.

One question :
Will the Fortuner available in 4 X 2 versions or all will be 4 X 4 versions ?

I think 4 X 2 will be good if offroading is not planned.

How about 19.75 Lakh? For it to be a killer deal, it has to be offered for about 3 lakhs premium over a comparable Innova.

I also got a call from Toyota asking whether I want Fortuner in first batch. I was a bit tied up so only asked for the price and he said around 20.5 ex for Jaipur.

Here in Bangalore, Dealers are quoting around 23L on road. I believe ex-showroom would be around 19L.
