@adityakavoor: Can you give details of the offer? and which dealer?

One of my friends picked up his Indica Dicor today. The OTR came to about 4.57L.(We managed another 7k cash disc. on this by pulling strings with people at Tata sales in Bangalore.)
Apart from this, freebies were mudflaps, mats, air freshner, idol etc. And the dealer was Concorde.

I think for 4.5L onroad, it is a good deal for the Indica Dicor

@Eddy - you are right. I was looking interest components alone - that too rates given to staffers by Nationalised banks. (now you know how my car is financed). At 12% flat interest, the whole thing works out to {{50,000 + [(50,000 x 12/100) x 5]}/60 = Rs. 1,333.33.

How did you feel the dicor ?? Did you drive the palio multijet as well ?

The dealer was manipal motors. He gives pure cash discount. Might give goodies @ time of delivery.

@aditya..
Yes, I had TD'ed the DICOR. Functionally, theres nothing wrong with the Indica DiCOR. Of course, comparing to SwiftD and PalioMJD, things like lack of refinement will come up.

I had a very brief TD in the MJD. Actually, it was too brief to give a good opinion. In any case, my feedback is:
>A bit of engine noise in cabin
>Better driveability-in-city than Dicor. Same as Swift D.
>Build quality may be a let-down for older Palio owners.
For people familiar with Swift D and Palio, they may not find anything new/different with the car,IMO.

Fiat is supposed to launch Bravo next month that would be an interesting dimension to this comparison though the engine specs dont fall in line with the segment.

Test drove multijet.
I will not talk about enterior/exterior. Straight to the review.
Engine noise at idle high in the cabin. 1st and 2nd gear is too responsive as these gears crosses 2k rpm early. Shift to 3rd and RPM is below 2K, and you can feel the power loses. Buttttttttt... press full throttle and pickup kicks up too fast. Manage to cross 2K RPM in 4th gear. Once you get the speed engine noise goes but not like Petrol engines. Driving in city will be fun with frequent gear shifting to keep RPM at high. Managed to get turbo on in 5th too, but one need to pull above 60-70 KMPH in 5th, not sure odo was off, but I can guess i was crossed 80 KMPH. I did not found much difference in Pickup compare to Swift. But my 1.2's gear shift I found better than Stile's one. But Stile has short gear shift comapre to my 1.2.
Overall, its fun to drive on long trip. Not sure how it will feel in heavy trafic.

Pawan.
Really appreciate that you are sharing your TD experience with us but please do not post the same TD report in two different threads.

I felt the same. How come everyone miss to check its brakes and sort?
