Nothing personal against Zen guys! Just my opinion..
None taken yar...!
Its a personal choice, correct.

Compared to the Zen when I drive the Swift I feel it is having a very hard (but precise) gear shift. Indica and WagonR too rubbery.

I was just shocked to hear someone say Zen had a "bad" gear shift

Hard shifts in Swift..thats exactly how I like them!

Having said that I have never driven a Fiat Premier with the steering mounted gears.. I bet they would be real hard shifts!

For me it was the old Indica DLE, didn't feel like a car, more like a truck.

For me it has to be an Indica DLE. I was heading back home after work in one of the office cabs when the driver complained of head ache. I obliged and realized the real pain in driving the non-powersteering Indica. It felt as if I was driving a TATA 407. But somehow I liked the experience but never would want to own.

Worst

worst is Matiz hands down.gear shifts bad no pick up and absolutely no POWER. Once i had to drop my friend to her place and her building has a steep slope and we were 3 people in the car. The gal who i was supposed to drop was really "healthy". the car just wouldnt climb the slope and i had to ask her to get out and walk up the slope which was a very awkward situation for her and me

The worst car I've driven was an 1995 esteem.
Its primarily due to the poor condition of the car.
  • floor was like a mesh (lot of rust, yeah..!)
  • lots and lots of "free-play" in the steering.
  • brake ? well there was not much.
  • Talk about shivers up and down the spine, the car was shaking itself to bits.
  • Amazingly the engine was still sweet and gearshift was ok.
I've driven Jeeps, Amby's, Padmini's
Each car has its own charm, yes agreed its like a dinosaur compared to the cars we have now. But I like anything with wheels on it.

For me there is no bad car/bike, I like all of them.
How can you hate a car/bike , there might be few moments where you'd have wished "If I had a better car/bike".

But no matter how bad it is, there will be at least "1" reason to like it.

Take the Indica Diesel, its not a fun car to drive but it will make you smile at the time you fill her up, right ?

The worst I had driven was a Kia Spectra in the US - I rented it because that was the only car left. I returned the car in half a day and walked for a day till I got a better car (Mustang ) - It had extremely bad distribution of power and torque across revs. I really couldn't understand how to drive it! I have never driven (and hopefully never will) anything like that.

In India, the worst car I drove was my friend's zen! I hopped into the car with high expectations, but the gear was pathetic. May be my friend had her car in bad shape.

for me its Zen Diesel in 2001 in Navi Mumbai at some relative place, when they asked me to buy Rabri Chuski. I was accompained by my cousin to direct me, but for my surprise acceleration was so hard, I have to literally stand on it to move that baby. It was like driving a truck.
