Any news on whether they are doing something about the ground clearance /suspension
I have 2 Linea owners in the office - both complain of scraping over speed brakers

for me - looking to upgrade from a 65k km done Siena - to the Linea - the scraping issue is a deal breaker

I have another linea owner in my office who upgraded the tyre to 205/60 R15 after running for 21000 Km on the stock tyres. He claims that he no longer scraps on the humps. I plan to switch to the same or 195/65 R15 after 30000 Km or so, which will happer sooner from the way I'm covering distance in my Linea.

Obviously the GC will increase. 195/60 R15 sidewall is 117 mm and that of 205/60 R15 is 123 mm. So the GC will increase by 6 mm.

For the upgrade from 195/60 to 195/65 - The ground clearance will increase by 4.875 mm. Because the side wall height will increase by 9.75 mm

For the upgrade from 195/60 to 205/60 - The ground clearance will increase by 3 mm. Because the side wall height will increase by 6 mm

Hope I am making sense here.

I am upgrading to 205/50/17. Your suggestions are welcome in the following thread. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...handigarh.html

You are actually wrong. Side wall increases are 9.75 mm and 6 mm respectively, whereas diameter increase are double of that.

I do know the meanings of the profile and I only meant to say that 205/60 was good enough to avoid scraping, though I would prefer 195/65 for my next upgrade.

Finally FIAT is showing interest.

Think the Foot well and the dead pedal placement of the Punto should also be looked at in the upgrade.

Fiat has to upgrade the reversing light on Punto. I think the drivers will have problem in seeing the road while reversing the car at night. They should provide 2 lights.

Moreover, the pedestrian cannot see the car is reversing due to the placement of light.

Dear Punto owners, what is your opinion on this?
