Mustang... Your presence in this thread has had a positive influence . Like I PM'ed, this could be the car that replaces my Fusion.

No offense, but I just can't see the Verna RB thread in the "New Posts" search...

re: New Ford Fiesta Unveiled : Report & Pics - Page 46

This car is quite a looker. Now I am again confused, I was about to book a Fiat GP 90HP but seeing the pics of new Fiesta I am tempted to extend my budget and wait for some more time. My worry is, I will be paying the full list price but after few months of launch, there would be huge discounts (seeing the past sales strategies from Ford).
Anyway, Any possibilities of it getting launched before mid-april?

No chance at all, and anyways the fiesta sedan is coming first so if you want the fiesta hatch, it will be a much longer wait. Go for the Punto 90 HP if you need the car before June.

Thanks Mustang for your quick reply.
I am more keen in Fiesta Sedan only but can not wait till June for that. I think right now GP 90HP is the only option for me within 7-8 lacs as a driver oriented diesel car.

Hey Ford Motors India,

How about customizing the new Ford Fiesta from a Standard Pick and Choose package / range at an additional cost, like in the USA? Say, within an affordable additional amount of INR 50K - 100K?

Lots of people would be interested in such a package. This is wishful thinking, but there is a segment out there who would happily lap it up.

Maybe, it could be heavily discounted for TBHPians . Wishful thinking again.

Ok guys, I got some new information about the Auto Gearbox.

The auto transmission in India will be developed by the german company Getrag in Germany, the very same company that is supplying ford motor company in UK and the US.

It is a dual clutch, that you guys already know. There are no paddle shifts, that you guys maybe knowing and the very same model of the transmission is also used in another car in the UK which is the Renault Megane, that you guys probably did not know.

Won't work in India, Sales are way too low as compared to the US and the assembly plant is not equipped to handle special requests. But, you will see this some time in the near future.

You will get ACC, maybe even in the mid range model. That you would come to know only when the company discloses it officially but i have a feeling that it will come in the mid-range model too.

Good news to hear, you made my day.

So I think I know what my next car is likely to be.

Unless Mustang, you happen to know if there is any chance of the Ecosport in India...I wouldn't mind waiting another year or two and spending a bit more for that!

Maybe not, Maybe you will get a S version in that time. But there is no guarantee of anything.

Interior Pic for Top-end Automatic Variant

Ok I have got this pic from a trusty colleague

He says that this is the final interior for the automatic top end variant.

Here are the highlights of this package.

1. Automatic climate control
2. Multimedia Display screen
3. Leather seats
4. Electrically Adjustable ORVMs
5. Steering mounted audio controls
6. Music player featuring a keypad to dial nos.
7. We can see twin airbags but there may be more on the F+R curtains.

Zoom into the pic and tell me if you see anything extra.

So basically pretty much the same interior that you get in the US top end version.

PS - The windshield has been blackened as it had somebody from the company standing outside the car.

Note to MODS: Can you please change the name of the thread to something more appropriate as it has gone beyond the interior pics.

thank you Mustang.101 for the interior picture of new fiesta.

It looks like AT gear box, this means AT will be available at launch itself ?

I like the design of the dashboard and the way the seat edges are designed. Should be really nice to feel it in person! Brilliant that they are bringing it just like the overseas version. Now a killer pricing is all what we are looking for !!

Edit: Was watching cnet review of the sedan and noticed that there are steering controls on both sides where as in the pic, we have those only on the left side of the steering! Does that mean we have another version on top of the one in pic? Or some functionality has been taken off to make the price effective?!

Nice scoop mustang,so i am guessing this top end automatic variant will be near to 10 lakhs ex showroom, and with all these features and a powerful engine looks to be a very good package. Will take the fight to the Vento At and City At.

Those front seats have nice under-thigh support! And good side support too.

Will the central multimedia screen also be GPS compatible?.or is just for trip, distance, avg speep, door ajar display etc?

10 Lacs may be too steep, I am hoping for something around 9 Lacs for the Petrol Automatic.
The central screen is not GPS compatible, Its an info display with the things you mentioned and some other minor settings.

super! thanks a lot Mustang.101. With all the bells & whistles this will surely be a winner if Ford prices it below 10L for this top end AT version.
