I guess they have increased the tyre size from 14" to 15". Maybe this is the top end with 15" and before this, we may have seen the base variant with 14".

Or maybe it is just the angle of these pics.

Like it as well. To my eyes, they look like Fiat Idea Adventure.
Mahindra should offer one in 'Adventure' like trim, with black cladding/bumper, running boards and roof rails

Are you sure it's a new Scorpio? It seems to be a left hand drive vehicle (from the sticker) and it looks more like a Xylo mini to me. Maybe for a foreign market?

Friends did u note its written left hand drive. And it looked big to me. So i was confused on xylo or scorpio.

I saw one at Pune (a bit before the start of Expressway) on Sunday.

It was not a LHD but for sure it was a mini Xylo.

Strange that test mules have been spotted numerous times from quite long but still there is no news about the launch. Looks like Mahindra is taking extra care before launching it and has learnt from the XUV incident that testing plays a vital role in removing the niggles.

I noticed one test mule in Nashik city couple of weeks back due to a small incident. One boy on bicycle bumped gently from behind & mini-Xylo driver argued with the boy as if it was a (his own) new vehicle. It's good on part of the driver to be caring for the vehicle but how much impact can a bicycle have on rear bumper.

About vehicle: I think M&M has taken too long to release this vehicle if they don't want change looks of this vehicle from Xylo. OR are they waiting for launch of Duster, Ecosport and price it very competitively?

My guess for the reason of delay is strategic dilemma.

It would be very difficult for this vehicle to compete in diesel hatchback segment, especially with sensibly priced Figo, Vista, Ritz, Liva etc.

M&M also knows this, They have correctly chosen Varito CS for this purpose.

Also It should not cannibalize any market share from M & M ‘s cash machine a.k.a Bolero.

And M & M is known to be aware of market realities very well and responds in very logical manner.

I think M & M strategists must have realized that This vehicle needs something more to stay above competition in 4.5-6 lac space.
