IMHO, it looks to be even more claustrophobic for the rear seat passengers. it may be good for people who are not really interested in the journey!

After seeing this HR registered test-drive mule, I have modified my booking from Swift VDi+ABS (current) to Swift Zxi (New one).

I'm willing to wait a couple of months (Hopefully they launch by March).

Swift in AT wont be anytime soon. Maruti isnt comfortable selling Swift OR any other car with a good AT box.

Read reports on Astar AT sales experiences. No Delivery commitment even after 6 months.

Looking at the video above, the current swift is not a bad buy because you shall not get the gadgetry shown in the video above of UK version in an indian version. Also current swift looks good and has more boot space IMO. Also the new version would be costly and would have long waiting periods.

Spoke to the salesmen at Sai, they said they have no idea.
Most of the dates thrown around on this forum though seem to indicate the end of Q1 2011 or early Q2.

@ Streetlife..

Good Scoop. Does the new Swift seems to be visually bigger the current one? Did u get any glimpse of Interior? Is it a petrol or a Diesel? any Idea..? Sorry.. to much of Questions but i cannot wait to see it in flesh.

I have a plan to purchase a Diesel hatchback by July 2011. I am awaiting eagerly. Seems like the launch will be somewhere by April 2011.

The interiors are similar to the international model cause if you look at one of the SMOKIN's photos you can have a wee look at the interiors.
