Honda City and Civic has rear AC vents, under the front seats. I am guessing that the 9th gen also has a similar design.

The colour no doubt looks great but then do not expect Honda India to provide us with multiple colour options. As such, their colour palette for India is rudimentary and does not offer many options.

The GC seems to have been increased than the present gen civic. The overall look doesnt seem to go well with the exciting looks of present civic, they've made it bland and seem to be following VW (after the new Jetta is out, the polo, jetta and passat will all look like Amar Akbar Anthony... )

The jazz already has a similar design language as the city (or maybe vice versa), with this new civic, all they've done it seems is broaden the smile at the front and raised the height (all courtesy feedbacks), lets not talk about the rear at all.

Have a look at the US brochure. The feature list looks pretty impressive. Hope we get all of these feature on the Indian versions.

That back looks like as if the designed got frustrated and smashed at the car from behind. If I had to buy a Civic I will buy the present one unless there's something spectacular about the engine.

Honda India will not launch the 2012 Honda Civic Sedan in 2011: ICB Exclusive! | Indian Cars & Motorcycles Blog

ICB has just reported that India wont get the new Civic till 2012!
Honda is going down this year and like how !! The Verna and Fiesta will really hurt the City in about a months time and the Accord is already playing second fiddle to the Superb for over 15 months ! The current Civic is as good as over and the Crv.. well lets not talk about the sales of this Imported !! Suv.

Honda SIEL back in the day made brave decisions. They brought in the ANHC when the NHC was still king, brought in the New Accord when the previous gen was still the No.1 Choice ! Brought in the Civic soon after its International Launch. Now they are just letting things slip and that too when they are handicapped (no diesels).

This rumor/news is disappointing, but not unexpected. We already know that Honda has announced production cuts by 50%. This move was seen coming.

Looking at some of the pictures posted above it sounds like a good news to me. Current Civic looks 100 times better than this.

While exteriors are not that exciting interiors have some cool features. Not sure, if they will make it to India version but if that happens, it will be great

Dislike the spindle 'buttons' on either side of the revv display.
Dislike the 'runway light' indicators (FE, Temp). They remind me of graphic equalizers on el-cheapo '2-in-1 stereos' !

The MID screen looks good though.

The only area 9th gen Civic gets ahead of 8th gen will be the gadgets (and better suspension... lol), thats it!
