From the pics, it looks like regular production has started...cars are shipped in bulk without any covers. Yet only the concept has been shown and now specs have been released or cars reviewed.

I thought for the front...anyways the new civic will come soon to US, by April or so. Just a shipment away from Japan.

Yeah. A lot of cars in the US that I have seen have red rear indicators and I still wonder why ? At times, its confusing to the driver in the car behind.

Any ideas when is the probable launch in India? It used to be quoted this year but with the sunroof version launched, how viable it will be this year? Or maybe its a gimmick to sell out planned production of the old model before due launch later this year.

This Civic is a straight blend of the current gen City and Accord. BTW, does anyone think the current gen Civic is smarter than the to-be-launched version, the older gen Honda city and the Accord was better if not sharper looking than the current gen models? Something's off the Honda designers these days - they're lacking genuine newness!

The current Civic looks smarter, the newer one is looking more of a larger version of NHC with a little different treatment here and there.

Does the stiffer suspension not translate into a harsher ride?

The rear light cluster looks awful compared to the one on the current Civic. Looks like a change being made just for the sake of it. The current version of the Civic looks way better.

Hired by Hyundai. They are bringing brash designs, high tech diesel motors, direct injections for the masses, and now the 8 speed automatic in the 2012 genesis. Honda has none of these. And this from a company that built its first proper car in 1986 called the pony. And Honda is building cars since 1948.

I'm disappointed with the rear end design. The tail lights look so cheap! Why can't they give the same tail lights in the current North American market? Those look so nice - even better than the current generation ones in India.
