It should be entry C segment, competing with Ikon Flair, Accent, Indigo. Low end should start with 5 or 5.5L and upper one can't go beyond 6.5L, otherwise it clashes with Swift and/or SX4.

The reason that all variants except Accent GLE are discontinued is because, they were competing with Verna and Hyundai wanted to boost verna.

Same story, in fact, applies to all models in entry C. If Swift sedan is not priced right, it will eat away SX4 Vxi atleast, if not Swift P or D

He told me that sales and technical training being done for new swift sedan but no info on specs/price.

But Engine Type mentions Petrol

!! Typo, may be.

This seems to derive from SX4 Vxi, not ZXi. No airbags, 180mm GC, etc.

BTW, this is not Swift Sedan we are discussing in this thread. This is upcoming SX4 diesel.

They are probably referring to the upcoming Getz crdi which would fall somewhere in that price range. But on all accounts the Getz should be competing with the swift hatch ddis rather than the sedan.

well today's news....Esteem is being phased out finally....and swift sedan to be launched in Jan/Feb 08....have look at the news...

This time also they will price the car so that they can kill the 5-6.5 lac sedan catogory. They will price 50k more than the swifts varients. So basic version will be around 5.3lac & top end will be around 6.5lac.

Bang in between swift & SX4.
First to take a hit will be Logan & new Indigo.

No diesel for another year. First they will launch SX4 diesel & then they will think of other models.
