The final drive in the differential is different. Fiat is 4.3 while Nissan is 3.9. The transmission ratios in the gearbox are also different. Nissan transmission gear ratios are lower than Fiat Transmission.

My father informed me that our Padmini was bought home after all work done and now looks a beauty. Just as if it is out of the showroom. I am at work site now and waiting to see and take her for a drive. No one drives in my house. Probably after taking a drive I have to decide whether I will have to change the rubber bushings. Is there any particular make bushings that you would recommend if at all I have to replace the bushings. Please advise.
Even one of the wheel caps (as in the above picture) is broken and that new ones of that model is not available. Can anyone source this for me please?

From where did you got the new badges. Are they still available new. I think only Premier badge is available as it is shared with the 118NE.
BTW did you threw the old ones?
You need the same design wheel cap.? The same design ones are not available new they have to be sourced from scrapyard.

Will try to find here in scrapyard although the chances of PAL logo will not be there as many local made ones with same design pattern are easy to find. Do you need only one?

Edit: just checked a company named MAGNA manufactured this design wheelcaps for fiat S1. Have bought a set from scrapyard so recently got to know about it. Attached the pics of one more design along with the magna ones.

Fiat

I simply have no words to express my feelings about this car.

Its a monster I would say.

I was driving from Chennai to Bangalore in my Indica, on the GQ, one PP zooms past , all i could notice was the driver was a smart Gentleman in his 70's. He should be driving past 100 as I was driving on a 80 kmph.

It reminded of the drive me and my grand father took from Chennai to Vijaywada in the late 90's. we did it in a day, those were days when there were no roads called Highways.
He used to drive it till his last days.

I will also buy one some day. I will. I will

Its nice to see so many good cars in good hands.
