Thats one very neatly maintained Delight.

Is it a '71 model car? Is the car in Kerala now? Tell us more about your FIAT!

I have yet to see the RC book myself as the transfer was taken care of by my folks. Will let you know the year soon. It should be in the 70's batch.

Yes; the car is in Calicut.

The car in all it years has still not crossed 1 lac kms. Is absolutely stock. Still has the column shift with the original wood tip gear stick end, fish fin style indicator and high beam stalks, single steel switches on either side of the steering column for lights and wiper. I don't know if this is stock but the car has a manual windscreen washer system operated by a little rubber button under the dash. The only technical mod is a return water reservoir for the radiator. This has helped a lot in keeping the engine cool.

The engine is a gem. It idles just as smooth and silent as any modern day car and once on the move it has that typical Fiat exhaust note.

Everything on the car is in tip top shape. My grand father took care of it really well. He is unable to attend to the car anymore as age has taken over.

I have hardly driven the car. A max of maybe 10km ever since I took ownership & even before it. I don't have room to park the car in Bangalore so left it at my granddads place in Calicut but it is never used. Started once a month & driven a few times a year and that is it. I know this is sad but that is how I would like it to be if it ain't me driving it.

Wow, just 10 kms all these years? Unbelievable. I cant even imagine how you feel to not drive the car. Manage some parking space and get her to Bangalore

That beauty is a one year only 1972 model. Do share some more pics when you have the opportunity.

The paint is 2K paint used for cars like skoda/ accent etc. It is a clear coated paint, no need of rubbing.

Now, the golden question. Where did you manage to get the badges? Are they still available?

@sandeepmohan.
I just love your car, the color, and its grille.
And I agree with Funkykar. Try and get it over to Bangalore if you can.

Not easy as I have absolutely no place to park in Bangalore. Thank you for your comments.

Thank you. This is going to take some time. What I can say is the Engine Bay and Interiors are as well kept as the exterior. The car has been running on Castrol GTX Oil for over 10 years now. The engine is butter smooth even today and the car idles like a dream. In fact there is no vibration or engine noise during idle. During the days my granded used to drive I remember sitting in the front passenger seat, we were at a traffic light and I thought the car had stalled cause I did not feel the engine revs. When the lights turned green my grand father engaged 1st and took off. I was waiting for him to reach for the keys to start the car. It simply blew me away that the car was idling all along.
