The permanent driver number is designed to increase the marketability of the sport especially for things like merchandise. So I'm quite sure we will start seeing helmets, suits, etc marked with the driver number.

Surprising news from Lotus that Eric Boullier has resigned from his post. Current rumours indicate that he's moving to McLaren.

I totally agree with you , however we will have to also take into consideration about the dilemma of the engineers & designers as they have to adhere to the new FIA 2014 regulation that the front end nose tip has to be at 185 mm. Its has been speculated that few of the teams have come up with a different design compared to the so called "ant eater" design. Lets keep our fingers crossed for that & hope other teams would provide us something to cheer about.

That McLaren, as usual, looks fantastic!
I like the departure from the chrome to the brushed steel-ish look.

But is anybody else reminded of the Mercedes by this?

Is that circular space the exhaust? If so, won't it be extremely hot for the person behind the car?

The only angle where that weird, angled nose is passable(Maybe because it's invisible?

Well they might not be pretty but it's very nice to see that not all cars look the same. Well at least the most optimal aero is found in a few months time : P.
It kind of reminds me of that scene in Rush speedmiester, where different teams had different bodywork on their cars. Of course the difference here isn't to that extent.

I hope Sky or BBC are picking up Jerez tests. Would love to get some Live F1 back in my life!

Williams for one would be happy.. They no longer have the ugliest nose.. Remember "The Walrus"!

With respect to the Ferrari.. I expect significant changes to the nose before Melbourne.
