The sheer joy of watching Formula 1!! This one had everything that you would want - spectacular overtaking, mistakes, recoveries, rain playing hide and seek AND a fantastic climax. Thanks for the entertaining evening F1!

What a fabulous drive by iceman,but all that came to naught.But I guess now no one would suspect his commitment\motivation to race.
Unless something dramatic happens,I think todays race has shown who will be the champion,and I hate to see him win it :-(
@2themax:I second that

what an absolute stunner of a race. Probably the best race of 2008 so far. feeling very bad for kimi as it was his race. One thing is sure, kimi has shown that he still got the punch in him.

Well said - Massa is proving to be the masta of the Ferrari. With all eyes on Kimi (not mine, though) he's proving to be the dark horse of the season.

Hamilton and Raikkonen are under investigation. The results could still change.

IMO, the rain came at the wrong time. Race was actually good till that time and then it became a lottery. Hamilton and Raikkonen could have easily crashed into that Williams. I am obviously disappointed with the result being a Kimi fan, but today's race must have silenced those skeptics who were questioning his motivation.

Whatte race! Though rain played spoilsport!

Kimi should have won only if he exercised little patience on that wet track!
Hammy took advantage of the conditions, but drove like a 10 year old boy on the race track crazily criss-crossing other cars!

WHATTA RACE! Spa never ever fails to excite and today was no different. There was more overtaking in this one race than probably the entire season so far.....action at each part of the grid. The last 2 laps were to die for! Lewis and Kimi were entirely onto each other and swapped places like 4 - 5 times. Too bad for Kimi, but the conditions made it entirely dependent on luck. Kimi accelerated on a slippery patch and lost his rear end.

Championship is clearly within Hami & Massa now. Ferrari should (and will) tell Kimi to play a supporting role. He is 15 points amiss with only a handful of races left.

I beg to differ. What part of Massa's drive did you find superb? He had an average start, himself admitted that he got it wrong after the first corner. Thinking that the track is wetter than it was, he slowed down. Kimi overtook him. Further, Massa didn't really overtake anyone in the race. In fact, he was slipping behind the Kimi / Hami charge and simply could not match their pace.

The hero of the race for 42 laps was undoubtedly Kimi. Overtook Massa + Hamilton in the first 1.5 laps and maintained his lead. Hami was the hero of the final 2 laps.

Massa has been in top form for the last couple of days. But he was far from superb today!!

Today's race just goes to show that the unluckiest F1 driver on the plant is Kimi Raikkonen. After driving such a superb race, my heart just sank when he ended up in the barriers. This year's championship is over for him I guess. Massa's race was just pedestrian. Just shudder to think that Lewis might win the driver's title shortly. Already this hot shot thinks he's the greatest. Can't even imagine his arrogance once he's the champion.

i think you have summed it up quite nicely i agree to every thing that you have mentioned , but i thought Massa drove well in the closing stages without making any mistakes especially after what we saw in one of the previous wet races this season where he spun 5-7 times and finished out of the top ten. He seems to be only competition if any to Lewis and Mclaren , otherwise the championship would have long been conceded to them.
