One thing I noticed. The Air Intake Tube is still open-up! Mine got replaced by by Open-down Intake tube back in 2008. It was a Free silent recall. Wonder why it is not done on this car.

It was done but after that I hated the slower throttle response. Told them to go back to the original. Had to sign a doc that it's my responsibility. I was ok with that.

@khoj: my old car that is now owned by sunnyboi is affected.

The air intake in my car too was open at the top and I have never had an issue. Of course now it is replaced by a Cedia specific K&N intake system.

What is the year of manufacture of your car?

My car is affected as per response from HMFCL customer support. I talked to ASC and they have not got parts in stock yet and they will be calling affected cars shortly.

Mine is 2008 manufactured.

What is the airbag inflator defect? I assume it means airbag will not deploy

I never knew of this, looked normal to me. Here's the engine bay of my friend's 2011 cedia and the intake looks the same as mine

Some where i read that it is other way that air bag will inflate unnecessarily in normal driving condition due to faulty inflator. This could be dangerous and i don't think anyone affected should ignore it.

Anyone know what a Cedia rear windscreen replacement will cost?

I had parked my car in a small mall close to my workplace (~6.00 pm). When I returned 30 minutes later, I found to my horror the security taking pictures of my broken rear windscreen. At first I suspected someone had tried to break the glass. No stone or hard objects found inside or nearby. The glass had just caved in at two spots.

The mall security claims no one could have caused the damage. They say it could be due to heating! Had never heard of this one before.

While I do not know the cost of the rear one, I think you could get the replacement at Windshield expert or similar setup dealing with car glass.

The cost is ~35k. The prices don't surprise me anymore. It's the non-availability that is worrying. Not in stock. Waiting for more information.

Are after-market ones safe to use? Never tried non-OE for critical parts, but then I probably need to get used to it as a Cedia owner

I am a little surprised by these rates, especially when I confirmed the windscreen rates from Asian Motors two months back and I was quoted 13 for windscreen including fitting and labour.

Aftermarket, dont know the make, taiwanese windscreen is for around Rs.3500/-

I still need too get my car's windscreen changed.
