re: Cara Mia Fiat Linea! EDIT: 71,700 km and sold!

You seem to be the lucky one! I had the same problem as GTX007 when I tried to install Ecodrive on my Punto. I managed to successfully install Blue&Me v5.5 before I tried installing Ecodrive. But, no luck with Ecodrive.

Thanks J.Ravi. I will try again. When I turn the key to MAR after installing eco drive in the USB at first she says 'Update started'. But after around 5 seconds she replies 'Update error'. Any way I will try again.

I managed to get ecoDrive installed on my new 1.3 MJD Emotion Pk yesterday(used the 1.6 Diesel option). The whole process was smooth and was installed the first attempt. Just need to record some trip data before I analyze it.

That's interesting! But, if we give a wrong engine option to Ecodrive, how reliable will be the data generated by it?

Yeah, right the accuracy would be questionable. I too had the same doubts on reliability, but still wanted to give it a shot, to see and compare what the app says and correlate it with the Trip computer data.

That sounds reassuring. Though I've heard from a few GP owners that ecoDrive does not work in Fiat GP, I'll try installing the same.

I don't have any intention of removing Fiat decals, which I love them.

Same to you teky. Even I experience the same. I tried installing ecodrive for more than 15 times now but it has been of no use.

Com-Paint Kit For Cara Mia Fiat Linea

Just a few hours back, I received the Com-Paint kit for my Linea by courier. The pack contained a key-chain and pen also. But, I cannot use it right now as there are no scratches that requie touch-up!

re: Cara Mia Fiat Linea! EDIT: 71,700 km and sold!

Cara Mia Fiat Linea has been hectic nowadays.

I drove her to Chennai on Saturday [12 Feb 2011]. We left our Basaveswaranagar home by 7 AM, refuelled at BP COCO retail outlet at Chinnar near Krishnagiri Toll Plaza, breakfasted at Ghar Dhaba A2B [unprecedented heavy rush there] and reached Vadapalani via Porur at 1:30 PM. We lunched at Hotel Saravana Bhavan and reached our home away from home at Royapettah.

The sand-laden trucks were a menace after Vellore during day time. They do not cover the sand with tarpaulin thereby spilling the sand all the way that hits the vehicles coming behind them.

We roamed around Chennai on Sunday and Monday to fulfil various commitments, left our Royapettah home at 11:45 AM yesterday, lunched at Hotel Saravana Bhavan, Vellore, refuelled at Reliance pump[petrol costing Rs 63.74/litre, 4 paise less than BP COCO retail outlet at Chinnar although both are close to each other on the oppposite of NH 7], had coffee at Kamat Upachar attached to the Reliance pump and reached home by 7 PM.

I enjoyed driving my Linea on NH 7/46/4.

This afternoon, we are scheduled to leave for Kumbakonam/Swamimalai via Thuraiyur/Trichy/Thiruvaiyaru.

re: Cara Mia Fiat Linea! EDIT: 71,700 km and sold!

I returned today at 5:30 AM from Kumbakonam, via Thiruvaiyaru-Trichy-Thuraiyur-Namakkal. The total to and fro distance covered was 952 km.

The SH 22 between Grand Anicut [Kallanai] and Kumbakonam was good.

We stayed at Hotel Raya's and visited Swamimalai and Sarangapani temple.

Thiruvaiyaru is also famous for its Ashoka halwa. We bought some Ashoka halwa from the crowded Aandavar Sweet Stall at Thiruvaiyaru on our way back. The proprietor was a nice gentleman. He welcomed us with folded hands, offered two types of halwas on banana leaf, personally supervised packing of the sweets and thanked us with folded hands. The Ashoka halwa was simply fantastic.

We had our dinner at Sangeetha's near the Central Bus Stand, Trichy. The food was excellent. My first refuelling point was at TVS BP on Trichy bypass road and the last at BP COCO retail outlet, Chinnar, near Krishnagiri toll plaza.

@Ravi: Is this Com-Paint only specific to Lineas?

I was wondering if it is a third party product which I can use for Vista for minor touch-ups.
