Thank You for the recommendation.
Bought Schaeffler frameless pair of 24” and 18” to replace stock framed ones of my 2021 Hyundai Venue Sx Plus DCT. Will share the feedback once I get a chance to test it during upcoming road trip.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I picked up Bosch Clear Advantage 24”+16“ for my XL6. Seems very smooth, looks great and great VFM too!

Did feel that the passenger side could accommodate a 17” even a 18” but did not want to chance any conflicts, hence went for stock.

Even the rear wiper is perceptibly too small; may upgrade that later on.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Got the wiper blade with frame replaced for my 2021 Fortuner. Went with Toyota since my past experience with Bosch in my old Fortuner was never great. I was told that blades alone is not available in Toyota and it costed 4050 with frames. It seems to be doing it job well though I am yet to try it during rains

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

What are good wiper blades for an I20 2012 variant? (1st gen with facelift).
Since mine seems to be a bit poor performing, not sure which brand is currently installed as had purchased the car used.

The 'Wiper Blade' Thread-pxl_20231231_103632909.jpg

Hi guys, noob question here. I have seen quite a few cars which position their windshield upright most of the time that they are parked like the one in the photo. Can someone please educate me as to why someone would do so?

Note: This is not my car

In my understanding it is to protect the wiper blade. Under the sun, windshield will get very hot. If the wiper blade is in contact with the hot windshield for longer duration, the rubber will deteriorate quickly

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

AFAIK this is done by the car wash folks while cleaning the car when they come to the windshield cleanup.

Its a common sight on most cars in my apartment complex. My parents’ car always has this up in the morning like most cars. Same in most apartment complexes with underground parking spaces.

And the reason why VAG and other expensive cars with concealed wiper mounts invariably have damage to the adjoining bonnet area paint.

I do this to deter stray cats and dogs from using my car bonnet as their resting space. Surprisingly it works!

Also, from where did you order?
I see Valeo on Motrparts. There are 2 types, soft and conventional.

In my case, this is an integral part of the car wash guy's daily attendance system.
