Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hello all,

The wipers on my 2018 Honda City IVtec have worn out and I am looking for a replacement. I checked the owners manual for the size but couldnt find it. I searched this thread and all I could find was for 2014 honda city or previous models.

Can any one tell me the exact size which fits the 2018 face lift model and also which brand to go for.

Also do the frameless curved wiper blades any better than the normal framed ones function wise? Or is it just for the better looks?

Thanks in advance

Ani

Take a measuring tape and measure the wipers. Easiest way to get the exact length of the wiper blade.

The mytvs wipers are quite good but they last only a year. I change them ahead of the monsoon each year

I ditched the clear advantage blades for mytvs frame'd wipers from Amazon. Surprisingly, the seller was also tvs. They are good, no chattering and juddering so far. The bosch pair is in my boot. Dont know what to do with those.

The size that I mentioned earlier was incorrect. It was 24/16 and the new pair is also 24/16.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

What is the stock size for wipers for 2017 Jazz?

24" x 14" or 26" x 14"?

And what option do I have for the rear wiper? Where can I get just the rubber?

Dear Brother,

Jazz 2017 model would require the 24" X 14" Wipers.

Honda have made their rear wipers in such a way that generic size wipers do not fit on the rear windshield.
I have problem getting the right size & shape rear wiper for my Honda BRV in the open market, therefore every year I spend 500/- for the rear wiper at the Honda Service Centre.

Do let us know if you get the rubber-liner,

Regards.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I was visiting the Somani Hyundai showroom here in Baramati, and also wanted to get wiper blades for my friend's i10. Apparently they do not sell it over the counter, the SA asked me to bring the car over, they'd open a job card and change the blades ! I mean seriously ? A job card for something as simple and easy as changing the wiper blades ? Is this standard practice in all Hyundai dealership ?
Why would they rather lose on the business for mere 100 bucks of labour charge ?

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Can anyone please confirm wiper size of Polo 1.0 MPI 2019? I got them replaced at go mechanic and I guess they replaced with non standard size or may be of poor quality, so today main blade broke where it is clipped to rest of assembly. I will buy it myself now and need to do it urgently because of monsoon.

Hey, I'm looking to replace stock wipers on my new 2022 Jazz and the only brand that I can get my hands on with 26x14 frameless combo is Blaupunkt. Is the noise at the end of the wiper throw because of a design flaw? I wanted to be sure before ordering as the website mentions a no return policy.

In fact just today I removed them and put back the 1.5 yr old oem ones because these were also streaking so I wouldn't suggest you spend 1200 on them. I will use them after the rains just to wipe if they're even good enough. Im thinking I'll just go to the mga store near my place and buy oem 21/19 blades. The car came with 21/17.

I had an SX4 before this which it the 26/14 sizes too and I've used hella, bosch, blaupunkt, minda on that.

There's a brand called autoclean on Amazon. You can try those as they have your size and have decent reviews.

Thank you for quick response. I ordered Aerotwin but unfortunately they don’t come with connector for J type hook that polo has. I returned it and ordered clear advantage that I confirmed is compatible with J type hook.

Same thing with VW, they told me it is a complicated piece of machinery and they can’t even tell me the dimensions of the wiper blades so that I can buy it from third party. They asked me to visit the service center and it will cost 1500 + labour.
