Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Osram has also introduced wiper blades (conventional Type) and are of good quality.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Using Maxxlink wipers for last couple of days. They are smooth, silent and does the job pretty well.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Came across Minda products on Boodmo while I was looking for new wiper blades for my car. I ordered frameless blades which costed Rs. 380 including shipping. Price is at par with Bosch Eco framed variety so my expectations were not too high.

Installed the wipers today and initial impressions are good. Cleans well without any noise. Build quality seems to be better than those non-branded frameless wipers available online. Will wait to see how long these last, but at this price point, I'd definitely recommend them.

I managed to get the input from outside this forum and was advised size 24/14 as the official wiper size, while some others advised that they have successfully used 26/14 on their 4th gen Honda City. Hence I tried to procure 26/14 on Amazon, but 14" wipers were out of stock, so I eneded up ordering Bosch Clear Advantage frameless 26" and 15' blades. Since 15" was closest size available, I took my chances with it.

Received the blades and installed them today. Both the blades fit perfectly and had a satisfactory trial after installation.

One thing I can say for sure that this is the biggest combination that can be installed on the 4th Gen Hondia City.

Got a set of Bosch Aerotwin's A524S from Khan Market as I couldn't find anything online and put them on myself.
The F10 has a 26" blade (driver side) and an 18" blade (passenger side). I was earlier about to buy the 26" and the 18" Aerotwin in separate packaging as it was costing a lot lesser. Realised that they aren't made specifically for BMW's and come with a bulky connector hence got the A524's.
The A524's are made specifically for select RHD BMW models whereas the A523's are for LHD models.
Total damage - INR 2,200.
I need to buy these too. Any idea where in Bangalore I can get these? BMW quote of 7.5k plus labor charge is just too much of a rip off.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hello everybody! I changed my Creta 2020's OEM wipers to Bosch Clear advantage frameless ones, and they are so squeaky! Drive me nuts on concrete roads. Plus they leave behind annoying streak marks and judder when wiping. Suggestions for new wipers? Especially quiet ones from fellow Creta 2020 owners.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Few people will still*be driving the Honda City 2006 model. I am one of them.

This Bosch 3397010060 High-Performance Replacement Wiper Blade, 22"/14" (Set of 2) that I purchased from Amazon works well in my car (Honda city 2006 Zxi CVT). Paid 349 for a total of two wiper blades, Can not endorse performance yet but the trial run shows no jitter or streaking. These have replaced Aerotwin 24/14.

Posting it here in case it can help someone else with an older car and hard-to-find information for wiper size.

The wiper arm is hook type, and according to the Internet, all 2006-2009 vehicles have the same wiper arm.

The Blaupunkt Blades are good, lasted for over one year. Being frameless, the wipe is very good

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

What is the shelf life of wiper blades. I assume since it is rubber, it should be like tires, the closer to MFG date, the better? Right?

Is it ok to buy Wiper Blades imported in June 2021 in March 2023?

It generally lasts at least 2-3 monsoon season depending on usage and parking spot. Yes, rubber would be more flexible(for a better sweep) the more its closer to manufacturing date.

It depends on brand to brand and where it was stored. If you are directly sourcing it from a warehouse, I suppose it should be ok. Personally speaking, I am using the OEM (Mopar manufactured) wipers manufactured in mid 2018/2019 and imported in 2020. I bought them in mid 2020 and they are serving me just fine.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I got the wiper blades changed to Honda Jazz OEM ones.

Had to ask the SA to order the parts in advance since they mostly just change the rubber on the wipers (The ones on my car were from Hella and was not OEM, so they did not try changing the rubber). Cost came out to lower than boodomo.
