Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Had to switch the OE fitted wiper blades on my Creta. After having a bad experience with the Bosch frameless wipers on my Alto, was looking over the thread in search for replacement on the Creta.

Did not find any reviews on the wiper blades sold from AutoFurnish.
Took the leap of faith and ordered one set as they were really cheap against the other frameless ones from Hella, Michelin, TVS and Bosch itself.

Link: https://www.autofurnish.com/frameles...-creta-d26-p16

The product got delivered in the stipulated time, on the 4th day itself and installed it right away.
1. First impressions are really good. Yet to test it out in actual rains of Bangalore. But from the look of it its a fairly good product considering the pricing.
2. Comes with a nifty cover on the latch which hooks on to the j-hook. Did not see this mechanism on the Bosch frameless wiper.
3. Had a protective sleeve for the actual wiper blade itself. Thumbs-up for this.

All in all an excellent VFM product.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I have an Alto K10 Vxi 2016 model, I had installed a new set of Bosch wipers exactly a month ago, and today the wipers have gone bad, there are streaks while wiping. I am puzzled as to how can wipers from Bosch go bad in just a month! My windshield is not prone to any bird droppings at workplace as well as at home. Although since last month rains were terrible at my place here in Mumbai - Navi Mumbai. Untill last year all I had to do was change wiper set once a year. How to deal with this issue, changing wipers every month is unheard of!

I recently got a new set of Bosch Clear Advantage from Amazon, sizes 22 & 16. My observations:

Packaging got changed since last time I got in 2018

Cost increased to 380 + 290

Fixing mechanism changed too as shown in the pic

However to my horror they started making streaking noises after 1 month ! The older one lasted for over 2 years and the new set is making more noises than the old wipers. I have no idea if this is a counterfeit or defective item delivered by Amazon or did Bosch lose their QA.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Got dhc Pro wiper blades (frameless) for ₹1200 for a set from an offline store.

Expensive? Way too much, but looks stunning.
It works well and is noiseless, especially at high speeds.

Ford EcoSport - 22”x 16”

Hello Friends,

Have anyone tried the Blaupunkt Wipers?

Need some honest reviews for the frameless ones.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I find the stock wipers on Baleno are decent enough. Make sure to change it regularly once in a year. My car is about 4 years old and it is on 3rd set of wipers. The previous ones were Bosch frameless wipers which honestly I find them average. If you are driving in rain, use the Proklear anti rain windshield coating. It is bit expensive and the quantity is less, but it is genuinely very good. Rainx cause the wiper to judder so I stopped using them.

P.s. I am not related to proklear in any way. Just want to share since I find it really good.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

So to sum up, and I totally agree on this based on experience - Bosch wiper blades - both their eco model and the more expensive frameless clear view ones are horrible and a total waste of money!

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Can someone help me with the fogging that occurs on the outside of the windows?
Especially after rains, and the aircon is running. The outside of the windows fog up something fierce, and the Wipers have to run repeatedly to clear them.

Isnt that always the case when the aircon is on in any car?

How long lasting are silicon blades?

Just saw this scotty Kilmer video and am curious. Have been using Bosch Eco for years but now they don't even last 6 months.

These days BOSCH wiper blades are not so good. Streaks and shuddering is common. The best wiper blades I have seen in low budget are MGP or syndicate, easily lasts 1year without any issue. For Alto K10 it will cost you about 430max for the pair.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Dear members kindly suggest some cheap 11/12 inch frameless wiper blades for Ford Ecosport 2013 make. I have ordered the front frameless set of myTVS but can't find a 12 inch frameless wiper online. Most of them are standard design or are exorbitantly priced.

I came across autofurnish 12 inch frameless wiper blades but there are a lot of negative reviews for that product. Several people are complaining of the blade not resting properly on the glass and rubber getting detached after a month or two. Need to get these done urgently as a road trip is on the cards and I don't want to have the combo of new frameless ones at front and an 8 year old (yes it's the original one) standard wiper blade at the rear .

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I bought a pair of frameless wipers for my Manza for 300, so far works really good. Tested it on 2 airport runs. I will keep the thread posted on their quality in a month or two. These are Recaro brand.

Yes, currently using these in our Swift. The packaging was decent but the quality of the rubber blades was poor. They couldn't wipe off something as trivial as a fresh tree sap, ultimately leaving streaks on the windscreen. Also, they are made in China.

Since I parallelly use a Civic, I felt the OE Wiper Blades (Mitsuba) to be effective, smooth and silent in operation. My suggestion would be to try the below,

https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-blad...350mm-6356990/

Make sure to check the compatibility/orientation before placing an order. Cheers.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Purchased valeo wiper blades for my Ford Figo from boodmo. The total cost was Rs. 378. Had to purchase the 22inch and 16inch blades individually. Just got it installed myself and am yet to know the overall performance. Was using a pair of hella curvos previously and they had begun streaking and creating a lot of noise and it was quite annoying. They served me for around 1.5 years. And yes was skeptical about receiving 2019 manufactured blades as mentioned in the previous posts by fellow bhpians. But fortunately received June and April 2021 manufactured blades.
