Don't be so modest. Your car's darned quick for the basic mods that you've done. And you lazy a$s! Haven't got your denting done yet, have you?

Anyways, good to see you back online.

No. But I have had people walk upto me asking me if I have an engine swap etc. I just smile and let them keep guessing.

Or the other day in office I saw two guys walking 'round and 'round the car during their sutta break.. then one guy tells the other "maybe he has modified the car so much from inside that he took the badges off" ..

.. he he .. little do they know .. i'm almost stock

p.s.
as of now all i've done is an automech headers and free flow exhaust and a Ractive conical filter. Am contemplating porting polishing & throttle body expansion etc.

btw. here are latest debadged and smoked pics ..

Atleast people in the knowhow can differentiate a VTEC from the 1.5 Exi easily from the exhaust tip though the spoiler and the rims can also be put on the Exi .. Even if the badging is taken off that is .. To the common man it doesnt make a difference if its a 1.3 or 1.5 or a VTEC .. But a aftermarket muffler would change the whole equation wouldnt it ??

I drive a Petrol Indica ( V2 ) these days and where I live a Petrol Indica is unheard of.

Whenever I pull up at the signals next to a wannabe racer in a Wagon R or a Santro with roof spoilers huge exhausts and thumping music I just cant stop grining.

I just love the look on their face when what they thought was just another out of state "Diesel" indica with skinny tires peels away from them at the signals.

Not yet a "Q" but chalta hai.

Agree with Rtech here. IMO, what distinguishes a Q from other cars is the stealth factor. It's about what it conceals beneath a stock exterior - looks stock, but is more powerful than the stock version. There is no stealth factor in a normal stock car from the factory, be it a Vtec or RS or whatever. Hence applying the Q tag to them does not seem logical to me.

I absolutely agree with you totally.

But just a small question .. and this query is NOT simply for the sake of argument/discussion .. its a serious doubt ..

what if one debadges an OHC VTEC to say a OHC 1.3. Would it qualify as a Q car then?

I feel it should. At least most of the junta will be fooled.

Leaving aside large diameter, but understated alloys and a mellow exhaust I would want my car to be bone stock from outside. With all the mods going under the hood.... insert wicked grin

I mean there is no greater pleasure than whipping a boy racer at red light brawls. Is there??

So here's me officially joining the Q bandwagon.
