Re: How does your car smell

A bit of OT (from the discussion on the perfumes) - I park my car under a neem tree and my car smells a nice clean neem scent during spring (when the neem flowers are allover the place), the dried flowers near the air vents on the windshield really make my day.

Good for you, enjoying the fragnance of the nature. But parking under a tree has its own set of cons. Bird droppings, leaves, flowers and little branches, all difficult to clean and maintain.

@fast&furious: I will post a picture of my jute based perfume soon.

Re: How does your car smell

OT, i dont like the new car smell (the plastic and new rubber smell) that i have in my Figo. It causes kind of headache to me when i drive with windows closed.

Tried keeping car in hot sun for couple of hour with windows down but no change. Is there any other way to reduce the new car smell? Some time these car perfumes cause more headaches for me so I want a neutral smelling car

Take some baking soda and spread it in the car using a brush or something. Leave it that way overnight. It will absorb the smell. Clean the car next day. If it's still there and it bothers you, look for something like this : AUTO INTERIOR DEODORIZER ODOR ELIMINATOR FOGGER | eBay

Re: How does your car smell

Thanks. I have seen these on the internet. But never knew that these are jute based ones! I had my doubts about the reliability (I thought it was some cheap Chinese product) but then I found this : * Areon Ken
Made by a Bulgarian company! Will definitely give the strawberry fragrance a try. :-)

Try it, you will just love it. Their fragnances are different and has a really pleasant smell. Will cost you about Rs.240/- and will last for about 60 days. keep it away from sunlight.

Re: How does your car smell

yes. been an avid fan of Ken's Black Ice even though it comes with a funny warning cautioning us not to eat it!

Rs.220 it costs and it is worth it!

The fragrance is just amazing and i have people asking me about it all the time whenever they get into my car.

Re: How does your car smell

I don't know about any local shops but you can buy it from eBay.
ken | eBay
And by the way, I too initially misread it as Aeron. It's actually Areon. That's probably why I didn't get any search results initially.

You can get it from most car accessory shops. Its better if you smell the sample and choose the fragnance. Black ice is really good, I haven't tried any other yet.

Re: How does your car smell

Planning to go for the jute ones after I am done with 2 bottles of My Grace. Had bought two, one made my car smell like a perfumery(black), the other didn't have any effect(blue), so I mixed them , it smells perfect now.
Maybe I was tricked and sold a fake My Shaldon, it made my car smell very chemicalish , so i never tried one again.
