I meant to ask you what came of the turbo problems you had. Well the alternative is mind blowing I see

Pretty comprehensive set of performance mods there. Ripper. And the car looks pretty much stock on the outside except for the tyres and the exhaust. A sleeper eh??

A template for Swift diesel performance modifications.

Drive on,
Shibu.

Super car! Hat's off to you for taking the plunge, and I can quite imagine the way it must be moving now. Mileage seems to be quite ok for the over 50% increase in power.

Amey, gotta agree with you. The Swift is a much more incisive handler. It's like comparing a scalpel to a hammer. On track, the Swift knows exactly what it's doing, even in stock engine/suspension form. Even the stock car inspires the sort of confidence that belies its humble rubber.

At the risk of being a party-pooper, I think the Advan Neovas are overrated and a waste of money. Yes, for the price as Nikhil pointed out, they are ok in 195/60 14 trim. But this size is wrong on a Swift. Also, someone who needs Advan Neovas in a corner ON PUBLIC ROADS is simply driving too fast/dangerously/rashly. I am often amused to see cars with no inclination towards track driving or competition putting these on. That is fine in the end, being the owner's choice and money. But justifying/advising these tyres as helping in cornering and saving time on the following straight, considering none of the users track them, is dangerous and irresponsible.

Disclaimer - I've bought and run Neovas on my car in the past. Probably the first person on this forum to drive them in India as well.

My Engine is still stock. all I've changed is a little on the intake side, a little on the exhaust, a little on the braking and a little on the suspension. Not to forget-around a few kb of ECU software. The actual engine is stock. everything is a 100% reversible and will take 4-6 hrs to get the car back to factory stock level.

Mileage like that is when driven in city. if I take it out on the ghats or open roads with the intention of really flooring it, our 2.5 liter endy might be more economical. Power has to come from somewhere.

The question is would you take it back to stock ?

I do not agree 100%, I see nothing wrong in having extra grip at hand.
Its better than having no grip, don't you think ?

There will be rash/irresponsible drivers. Saying its due to the bigger turbo/ tuning box / ECU re-map / better rubber / suspension is not really correct.

A nutty driver will be nutty no matter if he is driving a M800 or a Ferrari.
Blaming it on other factors is like "hey the car made me do it"

All people need to see Spider Man

@moralfibre- yes thats my car. the alloys however, are expensive borbet 16inchers that Peter put on for his video shoot. I cant afford to spend on bling

The video was a hurried affair. I'm told there will be a more polished attempt at it later on.
