Perhaps the metal trimming, FRP work and a bigger power pack and drive train will remove and add the same weight off the car to the same dry weight. Nevertheless please do something on the braking.
The stock rear suspension layout is also excellent and you would not want to do any major work on it unless you are planning a full independent rear which will pose an equal amount of challenges considering the absence of a full chassis.
Wish you good luck and look forward to see the final product from your stable.
Do write in if you need any specific inputs/part drawings for the conti. and will be happy to help.

Cheers
Miyer.
Thanks for your support buddy, Yes as mentioned before we are modifying the brakes as well. and are going to the extend of laser cutting ventilated large discs and using bigger calipers up front and the stock calipers on the rear. yes we are also aware of the potential threat and have sorted out some of the issues. well i know for sure there are gonna be many more hurdles up ahead waiting for us. but thanks to guys like you, who are there as a support to us . cheers

Arjun,

OT: You might have been referring to the 599GTB but it's a California.

Im sorry suhaas. Its definitely not a california. Its a 599gtb attaching pictures of the rear of a california. Just have a look at the tail lights and the side profile. You might have got confused with the top down.
The rear lights in a california sit much higher.

It seems like a confused little Ferrari.

Can we get more WIP pics? What about the engine, Reitz? Which one are you guys using?

Arjun!

Absolutely right! I have no idea how I missed the obvious design elements of the 599! Guess I didn't look at it carefully! My bad!

But as Karthik has mentioned, it looks a bit like a confused Ferrari. And that's the reason why I said it's a California! The 599 was never a topless car!

I think the 5999gtb did not come out with a topless car.BUt a company called vandenbrink did come out with one.
Google it .YOu will like it.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I didnt quite understand as to why thermacol ferrari scale model has been painstakingly carved out of thermacol to be used as a reference for your contessa? why not actually get a real 599 diecast model off the shelf and use it. I suppose that would have much more better detailing.

oh btw, good to see your car WIP. All the very best, and looking at the work done on the bikes by you guys, the car defenitely is going to look gorgeous.

Hi there everyone. i ,before the confusion mounts want to make it 100% clear that the Ferrari is just my friend Don,s project as his portfolio project. he is a college colleague and a prototype modeler.the Ferrari he has modeled is not a California but yes he has made the car topless for his own modeling benefits and don't see whats the crime there as working with thermocol is pain staking.

The scale model has nothing to do with the contessa. And the Car is being shaped according to the pic i had put up. No deviations here.
