in my view let harry to put his view on the same in the thread so that we can have both parties view and give members opinion on the same. Please.. my request not to come to conclusion like any sought unless we hear from harry. I think if he is a member of team-bhp he will be more responsible like any other team-bhp.

Aaah, finally team bhp has its own reality show.

Maybe we should just PM Harrie and give him a chance to respond. I am just doing that and sending him the link to this thread.

I am not taking sides, yet its not right to comment before knowing both sides of the coin.
However not answering someones call intentionally is very sly.

Dear Mr Kadam, we cannot ask him to move on, its his money and his choice. He even started a thread which shows how much this has affected him. So its best if we leave it to them to sort it out.

Now lets give Harrie a chance to respond.

Automotive paintshop in Mangalore :
BASF India ltd.
Bajpe Road
Suratkal, Mangalore, Karnataka 574149
0824 2455411

There is supposed to be a paint lab at their premesis. May be BASF can guide you.

BASF was suggested by fellow BHPian umb_007.

Update: The painter gave me a call this morning saying that he will get the paint from bangalore. Its pearl and comes with additional pigment that he can use to adjust the colour. The paint will be about 4k.
I dont need the paint or any other service from Sajeeth now! I Just want a refund of the paint money. For the ones waiting to pounce on me regarding the parking charge, i dont want it! Ill just put it down to experience!!

I had sent Harrie an sms last evening requesting him to check this thread as its about him. I Hope he replies today.

@all: again, we are content with the car. Im putoff at the way harris does business and this whole thing is just about the paint that we paid for but didnt receive.

It's extremely unfair to crucify a guy without even giving him a chance to reply. I suggest common sense prevails and all the good folk of TBHP hold their comments till Harrie has a fair chance to reply.
Nikhil, the tone changed after i got PM's from numerous members who have paid Sajeeth for stuff but never received anything. I hope im proved wrong but now i feel that the only way to get the money back is through filing a complaint.

Absolutely, Phamilyman. As you have pointed out, the thread is about #2.
The #1 was a bit of a travelogue/experience of what happened while getting the car home.

You guys decided on the car, whatever hurry you guys were in to get the car, why harass the Harrie fellow.

Simple my friend, any paint shade can be matched anywhere on earth, there's no rocket science involved.

You guys have gone to a wrong workshop who are not even efficient to match a custom color, shame.

You say you and your friend can spend enough money on the car, 2 ltrs of any paint will not cost you more than 7K.Stop crying and move on.

Get the car back on road.

And Harrie buddy, its not fair on your part to keep quite.

Accept and acknowledge if any shortcomings.
Pavan, so you think that we should sit and forget about the money? Just because my friend has enough money to build up the car, doesnt meant we'll go around doing social service by giving people money and forgetting about it.
You seem to know a lot about paint shops in Mangalore! why dont you come down and help us find a shop that mixes the paint/shade we need? We could have a tbhp meet while you are down.
And last but not lease, Shame on for for having such a easy go lucky attitude. Nothing personal but its attitudes like this that causes problems for the rest of us. We need to address such problem and try helping other people from getting into the same spot!

I cannot believe that this thread has run almost 4 pages without the accused replying to any of the remarks made aganist him. This shows that there are so many ways people think(like the old saying all fingers are not same) and i can bet this thread will run for another 3-4 pages before it ends or MODS feel ok "That's it"

i would just say that i find it difficult to digest this, the dealings i had with Mr Sajeeth aka Harrie
were very fair and prompt and transparent and i never had any issues like these with him unlike some fellow members who cheat people with intentions.

the best thing that i have learn't is not to deal with any person on the claiming to be a professional on this forum and even if i do keep it "offline".

Good point, and why they still do PM make it public.

The money paid for this, so seller has to deliver this, if he has a problem with courier at least inform the party so that they can come and collect it.

Pay 100 bucks to the K.S.R.T.C driver he will carry the stuff in his bus and the party can collect the same at Mangalore.

Writing of 7k is may be easy for a RICH person.

I don't know Harrie, I don't know James, I don't know the guy who bought the car and I sure as hell don't know what the state of the Mivec Lancer is. But what I can say is:

Any used car is bought in "as is" condition only. If you "checked the car in a hurry", sorry to say, you only have yourself to blame. Take a look at our used car article, or the various buying guides we have. NOT ONLY do we insist checking the car out in detail yourself, I personally recommend having a specialist / garage give her a detailed once over. If you didn't bother to check the car inside out, or have it professionally evaluated, again, you only have yourself to blame.

transfered 19.5k to Harrie for the Bonnet and paint(customized 3 stage pearl orange costing 9.5k if i recall correctly).

Days went by but we never heard from Harris nor did he answer our calls.

He had completely forgotten about the courier.

All he did was reject my calls or just let it ring..

Today is the 23rd and he still hasnt gotten back to me/ answered my numerous calls/ replied to my friends email.
IF this is true, its just plain unprofessional. Taking money for a certain product, not delivering on the same, and then avoiding contact is bad news. Best to come out clean, explain the situation to the customer and arrive at a mutually acceptable solution (either delivery or refund).

Again, its early to pass judgement and we'll wait for Harrie's response. In the meanwhile, I might add, absolutely NO personal attacks on any member will be tolerated.

Rush, We were happy with the car.. The first part was just like a travelogue/experience while bringing the car home.

EDIT: I was contacted by a member from Coimbi and he said he'll inform Harrie about this thread so that he can reply. I Sent Harrie an sms last evening regarding the same.

For what it is worth: Am not talking about the trials and tribulations here.

Chipping in to say, all you need is the paint code (the formula which has the the different constituent colors/pearl mix) along with the quantities of each. This could be sent across by email/sms. You would also need to know the Paint manufacturer, after this approach the manufacturer's local dealer for the paint that you can get mixed at their place to carry to your painter.

I agree we should wait to hear both sides of the story but am shocked after reading some of the posts in this thread.
He should forget about the money ? He should arrange for the paint on his own ? He should not get emotional about having been lied to and ignored ?
Wow ,nice to see such a show of compassion from some bhpians ,with friends like these......

Suren, I had tried contacting him for the above mentioned details but in vain.

Faithless, I am as surprised as you are! I didnt expect such replies from senior and mature members. but then again, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
