Fogs. Have seen a few more people with such setups. Ended up cursing all of them

please get projectors if you plan to get a HID conversion. im just tired of getting blinded by fast and the furious honda civics and jettas with cheap HID kits in stock headlamp housings. should get an 18 wheeler and run them over twice!

Wanted Fog lamps for my Scorpio. The workshop is giving Lumax (55W) for around Rs2300. Wanted to check if there are other options available. The workshop guy was (obviously) recommending these instead of Hella which he says is 100W and could put additional load. Please share opinions. Thanks

This is an extremely informative thread, but to be honest, I'm more confused than informed right now.
I want to improve the lighting on my Lancer headlamps (H4 I believe), and have narrowed it down to the following:

1. Philips X-treme power (+80%) 55/60W
2. Philips Vision Plus (+50%) 55/60W
3. Philips/Osram 90/100W with relay, wiring harness & ceramic holder

Ideally, I would like to go for #1, because it's the easiest to implement and the most effective. But, are these available in India? And how much for a pair?
#2 - also easy to implement but lesser light
#3 - light as good (if not better) as #1, but installation more complicated. Which brand/model to go for?

An additional factor to consider - I would like to smoke/tint the headlamps slightly, to complement the black colour of the car. Keeping this in mind, which option would be ideal? (Note:no Xenons/HID)

I drive mainly in the city, but there are quite a few badly lit stretches in my commute, so let's assume that I need some quality lighting.
Thanks for your inputs!

Philips extreme power is supposed to be the best, but only if you can get originals. More than half of philips bulbs in the market are fakes. The workmanship gives away.
IF you can't get that the Osram silverstar(+50%) is the next best option

Will the +50% illuminate well with a bit of smoking/tinting on the headlamps?

And, any idea how much the X-treme power costs in India? A pair comes for above 1600+ in UK (after converting from GBP). Read somewhere that bulbs are normally cheaper here...
