Does anyone know what is a better fog/rain light for Scorpio? It should fit into the front fendor fog light slots.

The company fitted fog lights are nothing but crap.

monsoon is coming, and I do highway drives. so I am looking for a good pair of rain lights..

Thanks tsk.

I dont want the lights for fog days, since its not foggy over here. I want to put 100/90 only, so will Osram Silverstar 100/90 be better or Phlips Ralleye?

Can 100W be put in fogs? Will the glass be able to hold it?

Don't even attempt that. You will burn your reflecter, and moreover what will you do with 100W falling right on front.
As for Osram Silverstar or Philips ralleye, I repeat what I have said before.
It depends on your car. Put one in left and one in right, and then test. What gives better light in your headlight assembly you choose.

Thanks tsk, so if i want better lamps in the fog lights i can go for Osram Silverstar there and Phlips Ralleye in the headlamps, problem is i cant check out Osram in one lamp and Phlips in the other since both have separate dealers.

Busa i suggest you wait for a while for car to settle in and then go ahead with the upgrade, (warranty issues) again if you are going ahead use authorised dealer to do the wiring so that warranty holds good.

till now the head lights seems ok for city as well as highway drive. only issue is the running/fog lights which has a pathetic throw, it doesn fall in my line of vision, rather under the car and i can see only the border of the beam. need to check if i can adjust it a lil

Hey greatmana 130/110 why do you need them in the first place?...its illegal, offending to fellow road users, be prepared to spoil your lens & reflectors.

We Tbhpians are more sensible than average truck wallas , at least we should not do anything like that. If you really need such high wattage lamps for speacial purpose/occasions you can use auxillary spot lamps where its not disturbing to fellow motorists.

My Optra has 4 bulbs for the lights and i dont find it adequate and Swift with two bulbs will surely leave me gasping for more

Warranty is not a issue as such. What can be done about the fogs?

hi! Tsk1979, thanks for the reply.

I checked out xenon's today at the maruti dealership in gurgaon. They offered me xenon's for 12k inclusive of taxes and installation and one year warranty. It is some korean brand kaixen. HID Ä«ÀÌÁ¨ Ŭ·´

The guy said the headlight will be white, blue. for green headlight will have to pay more. Is this true, different prices for different lights colors?

Get white, its the best. Everything else is show, useless and dangerous. Infact all Xenon's are dangerous for oncoming traffic... but then...

NO chinese HID manufacturer is reputed or heard of in India.Dont buy unless you live in china and get warranty.

You could fit the Crystal visions in the Zen.But if i were you i wouldnt do it.Because:
  • I already had them, and a set of narvas and pair of unbranded ones.
  • You wont be able to see a thing.
  • Looks common and cheap
I would say buy philips rallye..if you want some good visibility.

hey can some one please post the kelvin ratings for different colours of HIDs!
which ones are used as OEM, i am guessing they use white! and the blue/purple tinge seen is due to the projector HL! and what would you recomend for a projector setup?(white?)
