Re: ARTICLE: Synthetic oil vs Mineral oil

5w30 is the recommended viscosity. I have mentioned it in my previous post.

My bad, I missed that. So 5W-30 Amsoil will be perfect as @hserus says try the 5W-30 Amsoil Signature which meets ACEA A5/B5 requirements. I have been using Amsoil Signature for the past few years in my petrol car and it's the best synthetic I have purchased so far even compared to Shell Helix Ultra and Mobil 1. Noticeable change in engine smoothness and NVH even during cold starts.

Re: ARTICLE: Synthetic oil vs Mineral oil

Is it advisable to buy engine oil from Amazon? I see a good saving on the Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 and Shell Helix HX8 5w-40 oils for the 1ZZ-FE

Yes bought it from authorised dealer greaves cotton on Amazon. Yet to change the oil though.

Re: ARTICLE: Synthetic oil vs Mineral oil

Hello.

Requesting your help with a suitable engine oil for Honda Jazz iVtec 2011 model that has less than 45k on the Odo.

My preference is fully synthetic, and would buy Amsoil eyes closed if available.

Searching based on specs mentioned in the manual didn't give me much options on Amazon.

Thanks in advance.

Any Mineral based oil I could use for 15W40 for my Swift Diesel? I have been using the Servo one's the service station fills but would not mind trying something new in the same grade as the car is nearing 1 lakh 90 thousand km.

Some of the better ones I have used in my Scorpio are:

1. Mobil Delvac MX 15W-40

2. GS Caltex Kixx D1 Platinum Plus

2nd one is a bit hard to find in normal retail shops, at least in Pune. You might have better luck in Mumbai.

Hey, Thank you for the revert. I checked, they have this in the catalogue too now

https://www.mobil.co.in/en-in/our-pr...-mx-plus-15w40

Mobil Delvac MX plus 15-40 and its api rating is CI4 plus, more than just the MX one's.

Also, its available online in only 7.5 litre buckets. Any experience using this?

Sorry, no. I had used the plain vanilla Delvac MX. But like hserus said, it seems to be Delvax MX v2.0, so should be okay to use in your Swift if you can find it in smaller packs.

This is plain ch4 but a good oil and adequate for what your car needs

Re: ARTICLE: Synthetic oil vs Mineral oil

Anyone using Motul on current generation 3,2 Endeavour? Local dealer for Motul suggested this. It says Gasoline but I guess, these are good for Diesel too. If not than what other should I try - fully synthetic preferred.
