How much was the cost and which showroom you picked it up from?
Do you also have options in the finish? Appears that you have put up a chrome one?
In my opinion they are not manufactured by RE. I picked it up from CVS motors bangalore. There is only one crash guard and that's a black one. It's wrapped so maybe it looks like chrome. It's about 2k.

Ok thanks for the update, called up the folks @ HSR and they are anticipating the launch of RE Accessories later this month. Believe they have the Jerry Cans, Leg Guard & off road silencer on the list as of now.
No clear signs of the metal panniers so far.

Yes, will be getting the off road silencer fitted next month. It has quite a nice thump even in idle.

Last I read on some T-BHP thread that the construction of the metal panniers was being outsourced to Korea or some other South East Asian country to keep the costs low.

Dirtsack launched their own panniers called the Llama for the Himalayan, but they look damn ugly IMO.

Pangong. Nature at it's best...

Just to update - I had returned on the 9th after covering 3274 kms in 14 days, via Zoji La - Sonmarg - Srinagar route, thereby completing my circuit as I entered through Manali- Rohtang. Zero Issues with my Himalayan, not even a puncture. Covered 13 passes or maybe more, most of them SOLO. More to follow.

Cheers...

Amazing mate, I am waiting for a detailed write up of Himalayan's behaviour on/off road in Ladakh region from you. The fact that you completed the ride with zilch issues speaks volumes about both you as well as RE Himalayan. I have spotted numerous RE Himalayan's on the roads of Bombay as well as my office parking lot. Looks like RE has another winner on their hands since the launch of Tbird in early 2000's.

Awaiting your reports with bated breath.

Yes they have launched and its actually dirty to look at. The panniers rise above the rear seat itself which means that you cannot use it with a pillion or the pillion will be hard pressed to sit comfortably.

Do you have any photos of how it looks? the off road silencer?
