Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

Yes.The new model with bi-xenon,acc,etc.
But will it be true that it will take this much time(Aug 2014 minimum) for getting JAN 2014 model?

Also,he says, for premium cars, the resale value normally doesnt vary with factors like these.

Jetta being a CKD, I believe its normal to have a few months gap between the mfg. date and local assembly date. Though 7-8 months gap maybe a bit exaggerated.
I don’t see a big advantage in delaying the purchase to January. 4 months difference (Sep 2013 v/s Jan 2014) should not result in a huge difference in resale value.

How much is the On-road price in Calicut for Highline AT?

Nice click . Did u get a chance to check out the interiors ? . Is there a separate temperature readout for the climate control ? . Is VW offering any accessories such as leather seats or navigation ? .

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

Yes...there is a temp readout for cc.There is a small change in the design below the head unit to accomodate the acc.Remaining same.
Also, there are cornering lights.I think it was not there earlier.

Yes they are offering reverse camera+gps for 50k.I think its too expensive.

So does this mean that VW has not yet started producing the face lift cars ? . Why such a long waiting period ? . What about those who book the car now within december !! .

Well then that should seem normal . A 2014 built car should be available from feb . Usually this is the case with most of the manufacturers .

What is the on-road Mumbai price quoted by the dealer? Perhaps should be way above 24lakhs. I remember my friend picking up Jetta Highline DSG back in 2011 for 21lakhs on-road Thane!

Interesting to note that dealers are already quoting for the 2014 edition. I just booked the 2013 "new" version here in Mumbai. OTR is 22,84,548 for the AT Diesel Highline. The ex-showroom price is higher by around 52k but with insurance and dealer discount, the total OTR is higher by 20k when compared to the "old" version.

Has the dealer specced out the model for 2014?

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

or was it caused by a lose under body protection sheet?

It might be your unbalanced tyres. When was the last time you balanced your car tyres?

you are right i guess. the car is new, it has done just 6000 km. but on two trips, road was really bad with some really deep and narrow potholes that you can not see from far. that may have caused it.
