Got a call from my dealer that my vehicle has been allotted and will be delivered in 6 days. They've asked me to make the payment. Had escalated the delay on twitter and FB and got a call from the regional sales team today.

I did, but yet to get any email/call about the test drive.
Got the TD today finally.

2 things that I didn't like -
Engine sound
Blower sound

Popped the hood and the vibrating engine wasn't confidence inspiring either. Sigh!

Does it settle over time?

Edit: Test drove Petrol XZ

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

If Tiago is launched in CNG variant, it's going to be a great buy. Surely a game changer especially where CNG is available.

Too many Wagon R's in CNG avtaar in Thane, so much so that I'm bored looking at that car, forget owning one.

Has any one got any news about a CNG variant in Tiago?

In April the waiting period quoted by dealers was 4 weeks and yet you got the confirmation only nearer to 6 weeks, wonder what happens to bookings done in May. Come on TML you have a product which is pretty decent, pls start working on the deliveries and ensure the car is seen on the roads ASAP. This would not only help you create more awareness about the product but also invoke interest in people who haven't seen the car/visited the showroom.
Btw is this Petrol or diesel??

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

I saw a new Tiago this evening. Not a TD vehicle, just someone returning from work apparently based on how they were dressed and time of the day. I think it was a petrol, sounded quite throaty as it accelerated after a speed-breaker.

This was the top end model (XZ?) with alloys. Looks very very good, though I find myself doing double-takes at Figos these days to confirm that they aren't in fact Tiagos.

This is quite a statement. If Tiago is so much ahead of Zest which is quite refined, then Tata do have a winner

Yes. Indeed. Sit in both. You will know.
Zest was DEFINITELY better than Vista and Manza days. But, Tiago is at a different level. Tiago is this close to Hyundai levels.
Maruti plastic feels really bad in comparison. Infact - I did find some rough edges in the Hyundai Grand i10.
The Tiago too has a couple of spots where they can improve. Again, this isn't their premium offering.
Infact - check out the Zest thread - talks of a facelift clearly state that the interior quality will improve to the level of Tiago.
My Celerio TD the dashboard panels were 'unhinged' and coming off completely from the centre console. Tiago is a really well made car.

Mostly no as you'll stick to the same radius. However, please choose the one which is closest to stock in terms of error (minimal difference).

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

I took a test drive of Tiago diesel at Concorde motors, Mysore Road yesterday. The interior quality for the entry level segment is very good, decent room around the driver's seat to accommodate a big guy like me. The rear seat is best for 2 adults and a small kid or 3 average size adults. The power steering is really effortless and it was easy to maneuver the vehicle on the busy Mysore road. Since I owned a Beat few years ago, I can say this diesel engine is very peppy for the city traffic and has a good response in 2nd & 3rd gears. Well planned overtaking is possible on highways unlike the old Beat. Downshifting below 2nd gear was never required on a very busy afternoon. The only negative thing was vibrations felt on the gear lever; otherwise the effort from Tata is very much laudable.
