Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Do we have some comparisons on the ride height of the Z4 variant with stock 17 inch wheels and Z8/L variants with 18 inch wheels ? Is the ride height impacted ?

There was a discussion earlier in the same thread herehttps://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offic...ml#post5554010 (Mahindra Scorpio-N Review)

As per the analysis shared, 17" wheels should have lower ground clearance of about 7 mm as compared to 18" wheels.

Jai Auto Rama Road, Delhi. I don't have the cost break-up anymore - just junked the bill few days back but total cost was around 1lakh and included the following:

1) Auto folding ORVMs
2) Illuminated skid plates
3) Soft touch on arm rests (side and centre)
4) Wirless charger
5) Seat covers
6) Fog lamps controllable though switch
7) Led headlights
8) Piano Black buttons on all windows
9) Silver door grab handles and door opening knobs.

Now they also offer hydro dipping instead of purchasing original OEM parts which would be cheaper. For interior, while their work was good, I recently saw some work done by a place called Car Stylin in Delhi/Gurgaon on Youtube and their interior work seemed really well done.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Something many on here may have been waiting for. A complete underbody protection kit (including diesel and DEF tank) being developed by Prad 4x4. Found on their Instagram.

Hugely awaited product Hopefully it will soon be available to us. Pricing would be a key point. The underbody protection on the m2all website is INR 10K. Any speculated price for this?

Thanks for sharing. What is the material of construction?

Other forummers have also posted info on M&M and Bimbra. Wonder how this stacks up.

Question for the forum: is there underbody coating ads-on worth it, especially if one drives in coastal areas like Mumbai and Goa?

Mumbai, Chennai, Goa and other coastal areas containing high salt water are harsher on the cars and underbody coatings are recommended in such areas.

Otherwise, cars come precoated from the factory. A rubbery material is present on most cars. Additional (aftermarket) undercoating is generally not recommended for the first few years till a few underbody hits do not compromise the integrity of this coating from the factory.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Hi all,

Facing an issue here. The metal plate stamp on the car says 34 psi recommended in all 4 tyres. Car was provided with FL and FR at 34 and RL and RR at 33. Now after driving for about 3 weeks, FL-FR are at 33 and RL-RR are at 31.
Thing is, The moment rear hit 31 psi, TMPS started giving me a warning and both RL-RR are being highlighted in red.

Isn't 31 too high to trigger a warning? I've seen people get warnings at 26 or below

In my old Scorpio Mahindra classified this kind of behaviour as a slow leak. The issue was a valve pin / mouth not correctly aligned with TPMS valve causing the leak. Get the valve and tpms refitted and possibly valves changed to much better ones at any reputed tyre store.

Use a portable inflator , like the Mi tyre inflator and set the pressure to 34 at home when the tyre is cold, then forget about it for the next 3 weeks!

Even a 2 PSi difference is not good , you will feel it.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

A question for audiophiles in this thread -

Does Z8L sound system support Dolby Atmos? The Sony webpage describes the surround sound technology as Building Blocks TM - part of Sony's 360 Reality Audio. Would I get the same surround sound output/effect as intended with Dolby Atmos? My audio settings on the Head Unit are - Immersive 3D with Large Sound Field.

I've played audios where the balance shift between left and right was clear, for eg - a vehicle moving from left to right or a chirping bird flying across. However, I'm yet to experience something in real space 3D, like audio effects coming only from behind or from an angle.

I do understand that position of the listener is of vital importance. To clarify, I'm always behind the wheel.
